This is our premiere of Neil Landstrumm’s remix of apaull’s title track Annul from the upcoming EP on Furnace Room Records

Dutch-canadian electronic music producer apaull announces his debut album “Fought & Won“ set to be released for December 2023. 

The first EP taken from the album „Annul“ steps deliberately into the cancel culture fray. These days you can be digitally disappeared in mere moments for arbitrary and sometimes deliberately imagined infractions of some “activist’s” whim. It really is straight up bullying by people who wouldn’t have the nerve to pass their judgement to your face. Well, what if you choose to not live in their world? The track starts off with the cheery words “You can’t cancel me, I’m already dead”. The point of the track is that if enough people say “no” maybe we can reclaim a world that is not settled, continues to evolve and can truly tolerate and accept everyone. 

The acclaimed Scottish electronic music producer Neil Landstrumm adds his italo, disco & techno infused take on Annul. It takes you immediately to the dance floor where, using psychotherapist babble, you can process your pain.
