It’s not that the Londoner has never been experimenting with dubstep textures before, because he obviously has, still this signing comes unexpected. We feel like recently Reso’s passion for the genre has been remarkably growing (again) which shows both in the quality of this very EP release as well as in his involvement with the sub.mission crew.

Navy Cut label boss J.Sparrow starts off 2019 with a weighty 2-sided 12" vinyl release which is a taster of the year to come. 

Dissonance is a retrospective take on elements of lo-fidelity, breaks, jazz and hip hop sounds resulting in "pure banger business." 

The B side is a remix of Jonah Freed's "Guns", originally released through Czech imprint Harmless Youth. A trap-grime-dubstep fusion, featuring the lyrical might of one of the UK's most talented MC's - Rider Shafique. "Step aside watch the ride INI come correct. Place your bets cos every time I make a shot it must connect. You feel like you know me but you no see nuttin yet!"... setting the scene for the style and vibe of the track. 

In the first half of 2019, J.Sparrow is set to release his second solo album #00000365 on DEEP MEDi, and further remixes for Distinct Motive, Alter Echo & E3, Danny T & Tradesman, and Fiend. 

Splitting his time between the studio and the decks, steadily solidifying his reputation as an authoritative force in electronic music.

Taken off the ‘Everything Is Now’ LP by Afterlife, Kora Kora Kora is an instant fix for the drudgery of every day life.  With eyes closed, you cannot help but instantly feel yourself drift away in a trance like state to the comforting warmth of the African melodies. A smile appears across your face as a sense of child like joy appears in the minds eye, as you are taken back to being a kid in a playground full of innocence and freedom.
The repetitive swing of the shakers and pattering ethnic drums provide a just back drop to the wonderful melodies. You can easily imagine Kora Kora Kora being played at Hostal La Torre (Ibiza) as the sun dips just behind the horizon at sunset.
