The first piece, “Mexico 2”, drifts peacefully through an embrace of melody before coming into pieces in the second half, diving into a psychedelic state as the smooth melodies from before dissolve into a cascading sea of crystalline forms. The second piece, “Waterfalls 3”, seems to iterate slightly from the where the first left off, diving deeper into the mind-bending side of sound. Resonant plucks dance through the space, while a spacious beat chugs along, pulling the elements forward with a persistent hat pattern atop a smooth yet powerful bass. As the piece continues, the drums eventually fall away, leaving a raw undulating world of sound which paints a picture of another realm, inhabited by various animated geometries and entities.

For the third installment in his remix series, soundcloud.com/subsetdubs cast his ears globally, enlisting the talents of soundcloud.com/davidharrow, soundcloud.com/robhenry, soundcloud.com/tormaindub, soundcloud.com/suddenreverb, and soundcloud.com/mcthfg, who reside respectively in America, England, Mexico, Germany, and South Korea.

The remixes are equally as wide-ranging, encompassing the full range of the bass music spectrum: Rob Bong's drum & bass take on Journey to Tayrona, Tor.Ma In Dub's psychedelic steppers version of Aximal, David Harrow's spaced-out trip down Whipbird Dub lane, mcthfg's downbeat groove of Advanced Fizziks, and Sudden Reverb's rolling dub of Dialectic, featuring additional live bass and guitar.
