Chris Nord, a Dj/Producer from Salzburg in Austria, discovered his passion for electronic music in the early 90s. Back then he started fooling around with toy keyboards as a child and later on he became fascinated with playing the drums. This was not the ideal instrument for keeping family harmony intact, but brought the groove and rhythm into his life.
This was the beginning of an evolving and still ongoing passion for electronic music.

When you find him behind the decks in a club or at a festival, you can expect a floating mix between minimalistic deep tech and minimal techno with a dark and gloomy touch, spiced up with signature groovy elements. In terms of production and his style hereof, Chris always kept various musical options open. His own productions vary from stropped down progressive influenced sounds to more minimalistic and bass heavy (Minimal) Techno tracks with a dark touch. 

The one thing in common for all tracks, is the energy in them, focusing that on the dance floor. During time, Chris has released and remixed on labels such as Subios Records (GER) Pointzero Rec (BG), Techgnosis Record (CDND), Amped (GB), Soupherb Records (GER/IND), Shadow Wulf (USA), Mothr Music (ARG), Music5Clubbers (IT), Joker Black (ARG), Kollektiv Black (UK) to mention a few. 

Chris is also resident on the UK-based Radio and Label called Underground Kollektiv. Last but not least, he also co-founded the successful event-series called Tiefdruck, at the end of 2018, a project also known for their own popular podcast, that focusses on darker and minimal aspects of techno.

From here, he followed his love of broken beat rhythms to the drum & bass scene, quickly becoming an avid collector of the genre’s musical history and developing an exacting ear for the qualities that make for a unique and impactful record while doing so. DAVID PHOENIX is the alias of Hungarian DJ & Producer David Janecska, an artist whose career within electronic music spans two decades and a multitude of genres. In 2003, David began to make his first forays into music production, experimenting with a variety of styles that drew influence from the blistering sounds of breakbeat and techno that were popular at the time.
