From Jack Kerouac to the Beach Boys to Death Cab For Cutie, the idyllic and sparsely populated central Californian town of Big Sur has long served as a source of creative inspiration for artists on them move. Dirtybird and Perfect Driver-releasing Ghostea has made the place his home. Although we can't vouch for the clubbing scene there, the intrepid producer has benefitted from stepping out of the bustle of city-based dance scenes to hone his already classy house touch.

As a studio and live musician for many German major artists, Johannes Brecht was able to build a reputation as a talented newcomer in recent years. A hardware whiz who acted mostly in the background - this is where Brecht felt most comfortable. Therefore, it makes little sense to pigeonhole the man from Stuttgart in only one genre. 

With a few visits to the Netherlands already under his belt, Brecht is now returning to the low country during ADE for a performance at his newly found label: Diynamic. November 2013. Nestled in my warm studio during a cold Berlin winter night, I get a call from Gaika  asking if we could write some music together. Sometimes writing music is pure joy.  A spark of creativity leads to discovery and perpetual excitement.  But really when it's written with this sort intent on a cold winters night - it's therapy.  
This was one of those sessions. We talk and trade stories of our bruised & battered hearts & laying down line after line.  
Credit to my poet Gaika for some of the most stunning verses that have come into a creative writing moment.

2015 saw Stephan Bodzin release his second full length, “Powers of Ten”, as well as a new single on DJ Tennis’ and Tale of Us’ taste making label Life and Death. The album is another magical piece of work that focuses on melody and rhythm, on fat bass and vivid sound design and is a truly captivating journey through the mind, music, body and soul of one of dance music’s truly modern greats. After its release, a great team of modern music makers was enlisted to remix tracks from it: Maceo Plex & Shall Ochin, Fur Coat, Extrawelt, long time musical sparring partner Marc Romboy, Pan-Pot, Max Cooper, Agents of Time, Dominik Eulberg and many more all contributed to what is an essential collection. With a remix of ‘Sleepless’, a Pan-Pot track from their latest album, Stephan Bodzin closed the latest chapter of 2015 in what has been an exhilarating musical journey in his capable and creative hands.

At once subtle and grand, ‘Phalanx / Warg’ sees Recondite exploring the full range of his distinctive voice. Deep, sinewy techno set with a genuine sense of intrigue, both cuts flood the dance floor with an unsettling warmth.

After dropping Connaisseur, the epic collaboration with Olderic off Connaisseur's 10th Anniversary release, Peter Pardeike finally presents his solo debut.

Based in Cologne, Peter is greatly known for his collaborations with Marcus Worgull on Innervisions. “Love Supreme“ delivers a monster of a track, which we are sure you will not forget. When the remarkable vocoder choir swoops in for the first time, you will feel it reverberate though your entire body, making it stick in you mind forever.

Love Supreme will be available July 11th on vinyl via Connaisseur.

Just in time for ADE, we are more than happy to present a new release by one of our main protagonists since our renaissance. Lehar has made a fascinating career in only two years, he is a key member in our label family as well as Diynamic and plays gigs around the world. His "White Diary EP“ is his most unique release so far, with two original tracks by him and two dub versions by UK house legend Charles Webster.
"The Cave" is a very touching track which again shows Lehar’s love for deep but popish moments in his music. Again, he has teamed up with L.A. singer Rush Midnight, who already lent his voice to "Number One Hero“, which was released earlier this year on the Diynamic sub-imprint 2Diy4. An instrumental version is also available in the digital package.

The title track "The White Diary“ is a demanding and hypnotic builder, which was already played often by Solomun during the summer. This is a next level Lehar track, signature sound structure combined with a highly effective arrangement. A winner for many situations.

Charles Webster has been a favourite of the Connaisseur label heads Alex Flitsch and Martin Henkel for ages. Requesting a remix by him has been on the Connaisseur bucket list since day one. He gave "The Cave“ two different dub treatments, one better than the other. His "Dub the First“ already takes the original one foor deeper, making it very timeless and hypnotic. His "Dub the Second“ takes it even deeper and is adding a proper portion of trippiness. Music for the guardians of the real stuff!
