We are here to bounce on post-club or deconstructed dance music also known as anti-club, the genre that is gaining momentum by pulling apart the conventions of techno. Crafting a clever space of in-betweenness and experimentation, woman, queer and gender non-conforming artists have been leading the scene since its beginning in the 2010s.

This mix-tape is mostly dedicated to them, with old favs and new releases.

Jared’s bi-weekly Muckrake Political Podcast, together with political commentator Nick Haussleman has traced the recent mutation or epi-mutation of the decline of US liberal democracy. Sexton’s recent work in print is The Midnight Kingdom, available on Penguin Random House.

accomplish another collaborative effort and land this time on Hypermedium with a new spectacular split 12”. All You Can Hold In The Falling finds both artists refining their research in temporal disturbances through an archaeology of comedown. Their sound, uncovering traces of dreams, memories and expectations, is crafted through the use of echoplexed samples, chopped’n’screwed lines and distorted particles, serving as a perfect chronicle for the inexorability of an endless bummer.

On “Deep In The Night, I’m Lost In Love” Jackson-Pratt swaggers through a skillful display of pummeling chaos across four tracks, each of which engage in an essentially different compositional approach but live in a designed cohesive whole.

The twists occur on tracks three and four “Third Marriage” and “Love Deluxxe”. As they reveal Seany pushing stylistic boundaries with a gleeful, manic plunge that expertly triumph while also taking stylistic chances which succeed so well it arguably calls out more seasoned noise artists, exceeding the very baseline of what we love about harsh noise.

That’s largely what Jackson Pratt is achieving here
on what is likely as his best work to date.
