The Boat Party I host each year on the Thames in London has become something of an institution. Sold Out in each of it's four years and now held on the Dutch Master, I'm so proud to bring together such an amazing group of happy, smiley people.

In 2013 my guests were Featurecast who set the stage perfectly, and then I played to a close in conditions that can only be described as SCORCHING. Seriously, it was the hottest day we'd had in London for around 7 years and the entire boat was dripping with sweat & water from the giant water pistols we'd brought on board.

I hope you enjoy this archive of the set. There is a fade in at the beginning as the power got knocked out midway through my opening track, and the boat company pulled the plug right at the end (GOD I HATE IT WHEN THEY DO THAT!) so I fade down at the end. Other than that, it's raw and bags of fun!

Elite Force - The London Boat Party 2013

Six months in the making, Studio Drum & Bass is proud to launch its very own radio show & podcast: Echoes! 

Why was this project born? Our main goal has always been to empower & participate in the recognition of creatives worldwide. One might say we're creating the echoes art needs to spread.

Presented & produced by Emily Makis (Elevate Recordings, Shogun Audio, D&B Arena Awards nominee,...) and Gianina Mesina (Rinse FM, Viper Recordings,...) this unique show consists of two parts:

Starting off as a radio, it's aimed at only playing unreleased material, providing a musical insight into the future of the scene.

It then takes the form of a podcast, giving tips & insights to DJs, producers, label owners, and the audience; helping them to dive deeper into the beautiful world of drum & bass.

The first episode revolves around the subject 'How to get your music signed?" and as the first guest, we have no other than Ant TC1, Metalheadz's label manager & Dispatch Recordings' founder.

Rizzle’s debut album is a sonic exploration of twilight, that unique time when it’s not quite dark and not quite daylight either. The area between light and dark and the relationship between the two serving as inspiration for this sensational LP.

Setting out to make a solid drum and bass album, Rizzle delivers 15 tracks that work both in a club and listening environment. With no intro/outro or fillers, the album takes the listener on a journey through light and dark. This concept is further enhanced individually within tracks such as 'Voyager', 'Pathways', 'Duality' and 'Tempest' - each demonstrating this contrast beautifully within each tune.

Along with 12 exceptional solo productions, Rizzle collaborates with Wingz for 'Pathways', Black Barrel for 'Blur' and GROUND for 'Gloom.' Each featuring guest producer adding their own flavour to the Rizzle magic, delivering their combined take on the concept of light and dark.

My set at The O2 Arena alongside The Prodigy, Rudimental, Jaguar Skill and Modestep. I played 1.30-2.30 straight after The Prodigy in the main arena to finish the night off with an hour of classic 90s Old Skool Rave.

The arena was amazing, the whole night was an incredible experience and from what I could make out everyone was having the time of their lives.
