Kardia presents Sub:Tales Chapter 02: Saraphim (Sentry Records, Locus Sound, Vomitspit)

For Chapter 2 we proudly present you the London based duo Saraphim (RNS & RDubz)! The two started as a duo recently in the scene, but they already have a considerable output on labels such as Sentry Records or Locus Sound. In addition, they regularly play a radio show on Subtle!

The idea for this mix series came up when it was suddenly not possible to experience live music anymore. Our regular Sub:District nights couldn't take place, so we had to look for alternatives. I wanted to keep on playing music, push the scene and simply keep my focus on music, as for me, music did an essential part in giving me balance in this difficult time.
At first I gathered the sub:district crew and we started to stream live on YouTube, which was a great opportunity to meet up and finally listen to music on good speakers and high volume. But i also do love well prepared studio mixes and wanted to connect with artists from around the world, so the idea to start a new mix series with guest mixes came up: Sub:Tales.

The sub:tales are divided into chapters, of which each one will be framed by an intro and an outro shaped by a "guest story teller". Every guest will tell their own story which will create a surprising variety in every chapter. This variety also reflects in the musical variety of the Sub:District crew and myself: we're looking forward to be presenting mixes in the realm of Dubstep, Drum and Bass, Dub, UK Garage, Jungle, 2Step, Halftime, etc.

As a label that continues to support a thriving scene throughout the west coast of the United States, For The Heads Records have delivered some impeccable releases since it's inception in 2019. With collaborative EPs from Mrshl & Subtle Mind in the books, plus the mighty Conzi with 'Chant' EP earlier this year, FTH certainly know how to put together a solid record by now! However, their keen ears are truly put to the test when curating their esteemed compilation series that reaches it's fourth edition this week.
