As a shaman he is a mediator between the worlds, between his people and a hidden reality. This Heyoka Clown is therefore a mystical character, but not in that sense, such as in medieval Europe scholasticism mysticism has understood and in that period the interior of a Gothic cathedral became a mystic rapt space. This room was lit by a spiritually-acting light through the stained glass windows: that was a nice, contemplative world beyond everyday life with all its troubles and plagues. Although No, the Heyoka fool is out of this world, but in the above-mentioned intermediary role he nevertheless retains her contact and holding her from outside its fools mirror before.
It is in art since the beginning of modernity almost exactly 100 years ago, not more to the pictorial illusion, but the truth in the philosophical sense, better: truthfulness, or whatever you like to express it today with a buzzword: Art should authentically his.
