The 19th mix in the EXC mix series comes from Manchester based producer Monir. 
With productions that seamlessly encompass facets of 140, techno, breaks and grime Monir has delivered an impressive array of releases over the last 12 months. 2020’s ‘Collusion’ EP from More Cowbell showcased this hybrid sound over 3 tracks teeming with heavy, intricate percussion and dark, driving bass.

The recent offering from Glasgow’s Meld records, ‘Still Running’ shows consistency in Monir’s varied productions with tracks like the rattling, saturated ‘Troika shuffle’ alongside ‘Tide Will Turn’ - an expansive, spooky 100bpm track.

His 50 minutes for excess is brimming with belters from his corner of the left field bass spectrum - weighty, percussive cuts littered with breaks, beats and deep bass pressure.
