WHO IS Franki Barker?

Singer/Songwriter/Poet from East London Franki Barker is Street Vs Sweet.

Describing herself as a cross between Lily Allen and Amy Winehouse, Franki hosts a duality of Punchy Lines, Painful Melodies and Skipping Rhythms that will pull at the heart strings or provoke thought. Lofi-Pop backed with a history of genre hopping, Franki knows no boundaries when it comes to self expression. 

BACKGROUND

Growing up around Reggae music and attending a Catholic school definitely had their influences on Franki' s music style. She refuses to be placed in a box. Growing up in the poor borough of Tower Hamlets is prevalent in her life and work particularly in her first single ''City life'' which comes out on her Birthday - the 16th of October 2020. 

EXPERIENCE 

Writing poetry from the age of 6, and performing on stage from the age of 15 - Franki knows how to entertain. 

WHAT ELSE DOES FRANKI DO?

Franki has appeared in reality dating shows, magazines and various films and tv programs, she is yet to appear in the Hollywood movie ''fast and furious 9'' which comes out in May.

She was invited to attend the ''iamjd'' event in 2018 and performed there. 

She also got accepted onto CapitalXra's Music potential course after the various stages of auditioning.

Franki is a published writer of poetry and short stories. She has also appeared in Magazines, Music Videos and Short Films.
