We are glad to introduce your our first premiere on Initiatives Studio, ‘Warmth’ from Man + Machine featured on Brutal Forms’ Psychostasia Vol.1 / Vol.2 VA.

DJ, producer, music selector born in the ‘80s, addicted to post industrialism, cyberpunk, futurism and neon lights, Man + Machine combines the sounds of Industrial Music, EBM, Techno, Metal, Post-Punk and Dark wave and he creates a world between the years he was born and the days he lives in, a world, where passion, sorrow, dreams and violence are transforming into musical aesthetics from rave to rave.
With an artistic line inspired by darkness and intense emotions, his music can be described as a blend of the sounds of love and death, the sense of joy and rage.

PREMIERE || C4AT - Why Does Sin Bring Sorrow || [BRUTAL FORMS]

CCL (@ccl-url) has many tricks and plenty of surprises up their sleeve. London-born, US-bred but now Berlin-based, they are playful in what they play but serious about how they play it, whether that's head spinning 160bpm cut, "cowgirl-breaks or wiggle steppers." The key for this multidisciplinary artist and former New Forms festival curator is to find the similarities and differences between shades of sound and rhythm and exploit them to spellbinding effect. As a producer, they are no different and have always managed to find fresh in-between sounds on labels like Fever AM and Discwoman. 

The singular DJ steps up this week with almost two hours of pure sonic adventure. It's a perfect showcase of how they can soundtrack imaginary worlds from humid future jungles to robot dances in the sky. You'll hear rhythms you could never imagine and contort your body in impossible ways, all while admiring the dexterity of the DJ who has threaded together such a trippy trip.

Onze 1e festival editie was het 2e hoofdstuk van onze beweging en de 1e keer dat we elkaar in het daglicht zagen. De gemoederen waren hoog en de stemming was heerlijk grimmig. Maar de glimlach op alle gezichten verraadde dat we hier iets ongelofelijks hebben meegemaakt samen. 

Wij zijn TEGENDRAADS en wij zijn trots op jullie allemaal. Bedankt voor een dag die de geschiedenisboeken in zal gaan en waar de Goden nog eeuwen over zullen spreken.

Desert Drone is primarily a live music project that has evolved over the years, driven by an intense fascination with dramatic and dark sounds within a nihilistic and distorted musical framework. The music is characterized by dragging rhythms and rugged bass lines that interweave into an intense fusion of harsh noise, raw techno, and inhuman screams. This sonic tapestry is further enriched with the infusion of eurorack synths and a drum machine.

In addition to his prowess in music, Desert Drone is a visual artist who captivates audiences through the utilization of videosynth machines, feedback loops, analog TV, and vintage gear powered with digital signals. The amalgamation of diverse tools and techniques results in the creation of multiple layers, forming a dynamic collage of noisy images and abstract movements of the subjects.

As the former Artistic Director and co-founder of Autonoma Industriale and the owner of Harsh Voices, Desert Drone is based in Berlin, contributing significantly to the vibrant artistic scene in the city.

stonefromthesky (Oleksii Zinchenko) – musician, composer and sound designer from Kyiv (Ukraine). His sound travels across the palette of experimental genres. It combines atmospheric textures and deep bass, organic, naturally recorded samples as well as "cold" technogenic sounds synthesized by computer algorithms.

He released two full-length albums, several EPs, produced a soundtrack for the game Undungeon, and several remixes (including ones for Americans Arms and Sleepers and Phantogram). He shared the stage with Sam Slater, group A, Cluster Lizard, Ministry, and others at festivals such as Inne Brzmienia Art'n'Music Festival, ATOM, Black! Factory, Neformat Fest, and more. His latest work, "Zero Origin," was released at the end of 2022. And here we are glad to invite you to check out his musical taste by listening to his DJ-set.

We curate queer sex-positive parties with equally queer line-ups, featuring mostly non-binary and trans DJs. Our aim is to platform artists with gender identities that are under-represented in the music industry, showing that it is possible to have more inclusive and diverse booking practices without a decrease in musical quality, but in fact with an increase by bringing new and previously unheard perspectives to the dance floor.

Discovering and nurturing new talent is at the very essence of SUBVERTED. We stand in resistance to the homogenisation and sanitisation to which the techno industry has been subjected in recent years via formulaic, easily-digested productions and repetitive line-ups, and intend to continue opening the industry's gates for a new generation of artists that are pushing their own unique and fresh take on dark industrial techno.
