To celebrate our 10th vinyl release and the label’s 5 years anniversary, Automatic Writing presents Scenarii Vol.2. This various artists compilation features tracks from all the artists who contributed to write the first chapters of our sonic adventures: Gab Jr., Charonne, Sweely, Guillermo Jamas and Gabriel Belabbas.

We are also very happy to welcome new faces in the family, artists whose music and mindset have been great inspirations for us since the inception of the label back in 2016: Shcaa, veteran producers Felipe Valenzuela & Dorian Paic and finally, the mysterious Haunted Thompson.

There really is no stopping LEON and his FUTURA label. Releases are coming in thick and fast, with the third ready to go less than a month since the last. One can’t help thinking there is plenty more to come in rapid fire, an exciting intro for the Italian platform. But for now, let’s take stock at number three. Argentinian artist Agustin Alvarez teams up with Andy Catana on the Morale EP.

Alvarez has had huge support over the years from a long list of Trommel favourites. tINI, Raresh, Luciano, Valentino Kanzyani and Archie Hamilton have all been known to play his deep, dubby grooves. Butter Side Up Records keeps up its early momentum with another standout EP, this time from Parisian beat maker Sweely. Of course, the 12" once again comes with artwork by Sophie Doulala and expertly explores a mix of heady and spaced out grooves. 

William Montana is right at the vanguard of the current French scene. Blurring the lines between minimal, electro and house for the last few years, he has been installed as resident at the cult Parisian club Concrete and has previously impressed with releases on the likes of Lobster Theremin, Negentropy and Automatic Writing. This latest outing marks another tasteful step up. 

Opener He's Mine has a slick and squelchy bassline carrying crisp broken beats off into the cosmos. It's a journeying track that really takes you somewhere. Next up, the Girls Are Watching is a rubbery minimal pumper with buoyant kicks and warped, tripped out synths that bring brilliantly off-kilter feelings. 

The flips side features the hard hitting title track - a driving fusion of electro sound designs, propulsive drum work and a killer baseline that burrows deep. Last of all, Hotel Corsica zones you out with dreamy pad work. Icy and slippery hi hats add to the late night atmosphere while withering chords bring the warmth. 

Private Navigation is an EP prime for plenty of classy dance floor adventures.

Hailing from Birmingham, One Records has been a purveyor of quality underground house and techno for over a decade. This year One enters its tenth year coinciding with the 50th release on the label.

Since 2009 One Records’ output has been increasingly global and has played host to the likes of XDB, iO, Akufen, Dewalta and Thomas Melchior and the label’s more closer affiliates Voigtmann, Yamen & EDA, Jack Wickham & Cab drivers.

2020 will see some new faces on board for the Tenth Anniversary Compilation including music from Mathew Jonson, Desert Sound Colony, Urulu, Adam Pits, Thoma Bulwer, Anna Wall, Monika Ross and label owner Subb-an. Alongside label releases, One Records events have taken residence in some of the world’s most renowned clubs and spaces including Fabric, Renate, Sub Club, The Cause, The Electric Pickle, Uberhaus and Lion and Lamb.
