The enigmatic French producer KafkaCtrl is responsible for 'The Lost Intruder', the new release from Madrid's beloved electro label Distrito 91.

The EP is composed by five analogue bombs, perfectly structured in a synthetic storytelling that opens with the instrumental 'Hidden Light', followed by 'Cell Echoes' and its electro discharge of haunting synth lines. These are followed by 'Tokyo Combat' and 'Morphing Blood', which strike the perfect balance between depth and intensity, while the closure is reserved for the superb 4x4 electro performance that is 'It Escaped'.

A dark tale in the form of killer vinyl to give you goosebumps while dancing.

Yaleesa Hall is back on his home label Will & Ink with two EPs in quick succession. After releasing his debut album in 2016 this is the first solo output from the Amsterdam based producer on the label. This first EP is entitled Zoe Hayley Laura and features a trio of tracks that melt electro, techno and broken beats in arresting ways. Opening up the EP is Zoe Price, a silky electro track with shooting synths and big downward bass strikes that add real depth. It's a urgent and arresting affair to wake up the floor. Hayley Roach then has much more forceful drums that come in one two punch combinations to the gut. Synths writhe and gurgle up top as pads rise up and down the scale and the whole thing is brilliantly large. Laura Pomeroy then rocks back and forth on its heels, with train track like percussion and malfunctioning machine stabs. It’s a real tussle between different elements and locks you right in as a result. Once again then, the irrepressible Yaleesa Hall leads from the front.

On his first release since 2014, @DVSNME has self-released a 15 track album featuring some of his most inspired music to date. This full-length effort pays homage to the traditional musical scales of Asian countries like Japan and China with a sonically varied collection of tracks that will leave the listener wanting more. The title of the album is a not-so-subtle nod to Electro pioneers Kraftwerk's 1977 'Trans Europe Express', with the album cover paying tribute to the Japanese art form of 'Nyotaimori', in which sushi or sashimi is served from the naked body of a woman. The album relies heavily on the sounds of classic Electro machines from @Rolandcom and @Korg like Mono/Poly, MS-20, SH-101, Jupiter-8, Juno-106, JX-3P, TB-303, Polysix, TR-606, OB-8, TR-808, ARP Odyssey, and TR-909. DVS NME is the man behind the weekly radio show/daily blog called '@DarkScienceElectro' and has been a dedicated contributor for the Electro community for the last 10 years. He shares his love of Electro music by posting Electro-affiliated news, art, mixes, albums, memes, concerts, tracks, gear and more. There was an orange haze which hung thick over the mountain region. The shadows of the hillside were dense and black as the sun went down over the 1-5 South. Cars began to activate their headlights, blinking flashes scattered up and down the freeway as they raced along the coastal route. The air was humid and the car was hot and stuffy on the inside. He turned up the radio and rolled down the window as he pushed hard on the pedal and whizzed off at a wicked pace. This was the outback region and each engine was out for itself. 

D.Dan is set to release a fast and furious EP on Lobster Theremin, the London based record label run by Jimmy Asquith. The imprint has often acted as an outlet for the rougher more rugged fringes of dance music and this is no different. A techno, rave extravaganza with punch and promise.
