[PIRANHA SIBERIA DUB] proudly opens the 82nd chapter of its sonic chronicle — and here emerges a name from Missouri, USA. Ezra Collins (@ezracollins005) presents Dream OF The Sun EP — four originals and five remixes woven into a single sonic canvas. These are images where sound becomes the language of light, the motion of heat, and the geometry of shadow and vibration. 

Original Works.
::: Tonic Dub — a warm morning fog, dense and transparent at the same time. The bass flows like dew across glass, while the echo unfolds into shimmering geometry.
::: Getting Hot — heat transmuted into frequency. Each loop is a midday pulse of the body, every note the breath of scorching air.
::: In Transit — a meditation of the road, where space contracts and expands, and movement itself becomes a self-sufficient rhythm.
::: Alienicity — a foreign landscape where the streets of the city are reflected in the eyes of an otherworldly guest, and techno becomes their universal language.

The legendary WildFlower Records repressed the 001 Plastic Project - 7 A.M., a real manifesto of Italo Deep House Music movement proudly made back in 1993 by the Italian pioneers Alex Neri and Marco Baroni.

Stunning melodies with a groovy mediterranean touch that helped to define the "house" sound of the 90s.

The EP is fatten by a juicy Re-Shape from the Italian producers Giovanni Verrina and Germano Ventura, they kept the original classic house vibes with in addition a dusty acid rolling 303 which is a brilliant fusion of pitched-down rave and comforting housy style.

As the summer draws to a close, electronic music releases, no doubt, will get just a little more melancholic and gray, to signify the arrival of fall moods.  But before we shift our minds to sweaters, hot tea, bourbon, and rain, it is almost therapeutic to reflect on the passing summer and release our carefree summer attitude from our soul.  Need a soundtrack for this summer soul purge? I invite you to give Cai Bojsen-Möller's Whirling a listen..or a whirl…it is a perfect companion to the fading summer: warm but not happy, gently breezy but not windy, refreshing but not quite a cold beer during a heat wave.  With its flowing (or whirling) synth lines, relaxed pacing, rhythm more implied than stated, the track washes over you gently like the cooling sea, gently touching but never really enveloping you with its aura.  And when the track is over, you'll most certainly reach for a sweater.  It is the perfect final chord in this summer's symphony.

there have been periods in my life where I felt the need to push myself towards new boundaries, nothing necessarily experimental, but something very different from my usual approach.

the last lockdown period we experienced in Italy, from March to May, coincided with one of these periods.

maybe the lack of live performances, perhaps the fact that I was, and I am still, missing a physical contact with my audience and the dance floor as well, led me to make musical choices that privileged the emotional side instead of the groove and, didn’t disdain pop influences somehow.

'Gonna B Alright', the track that I introduce you today, was made in April 2020 and fully represents the mood of that period.

I can't deny that I enjoyed composing it, so much that I ‘tried my hand’ at using my own voice passed through the vocoder ☺️

the idea grew up after playing a simple pad chords sequence, to which I only paired the kick drum pattern at first, almost as to emulate the heartbeat.

but soon after I could not resist creating a bass line, which has involuntarily turned the song into something with a wider listening spectrum.

I don't think ‘Gonna B Alright’ will ever be released on vinyl so, I thought I'd share it on my Bandcamp, hoping you like it and can enjoy it outside of the context where my music is usually relegated to.
