Cat is based in Canberra on Ngunnawal/Ngambri land where she has steadily become recognised for fun and upbeat sets that move between trance, bass music and breaks. Some of my best ever memories on the df have been spent grooving with Cat when we were bbys just getting into dance music :') Now it has been such a joy to watch her become such a talented DJ in her own right. Cat has been a regular at doofs and clubs across the capital with many exciting opportunities undoubtedly ahead. 

This mix is the perfect intro to Cat's style. Tinged with acid and euphoric elements, it's diverse, danceable and 100% vibes. Thank you Cat!!! xxxx

Under his new alter Ego ‘Emotive Response, Thomas Blanckaert (Innershades) will deliver an EP trilogy focussing on Belgian Dance music from the late 1990s and early 2000. At the start of the new millenium crop tops, whistles, Bacardi Breezers and Chupa Chups were common to spot in dancings and small clubs all over the country. Trance was at its commercial peak and while Dj’s showcased their skills on national television (TMF!) a new group of inner producers stoot up. Thus a lot of Belgian trance gems were made by producers that later on would hit the pop charts worldwide with so called 'dance formations'. The often dramatic and dark melodies that defined their typical sound can be found again in the four dancefloor burners collected on this first EP. All given an extra fresh and uplifting signature Thomas is well known from. Strictly vinyl only!

With its 3rd release on the ERROR100 Series, System Error showcases Italian  producer Otis, who delicately produced 5 club orientated tracks pulling influences from acid to trance, yet preserving a strong sBerlin based label System Error ignite their 2021 with further mind stretching material, this time they call on Otis to take on the role of master of operations. The “Cocoon Of Fantasies & Illusions” EP meanders across five tracks, touching on refined strains of techno, electro and breaks built for the rave. 

“Taking Control” is built to take command of a club space, all of the elements working in harmony, to make a well rounded intergalactic trip. Straight Electro flow in “Just A Game” laden with acid squelches, the title of the track rocking back and forth via a mysterious vocal sample, a sense of nostalgia with elements from the past. 

Opening the B side is “Inborn Archetype”, a chunky affair, jam packed with action. Huge drums ground the track as emphatic driving synths, and pads take the track to another level, ready to go to war. Riding an elastic sub heavy bass line is “Anima”, playful and curious. “Wreaks Havoc” is built around distinctive 90s breaks energy, with acid tones ricocheting from every surface. The shortest of the tracks but certainly packs a punch. 

ERROR103 coming in strong, setting things up for what is set to be a prolific year for the System Error imprint, several releases already scoped out for the year, curated by known affiliates of the label, and some fresh names. Dance music from the future. System. Error. ense of house music. Distorted percussion elements and mellow chords will take you on a journey.
