Having Ballet Mechanique as the first artist in our new series “The Secret Sun” is kind of a dreamlike reality for us.

With this new series we want to bring forward a legacy of electronic music that is channelling higher positive forces and transcending space and time. 
For us, Ballet Mechanique’s music has always done just that.

Digging into his archives, Jeroen brought to light a treasure trove of unreleased music that probably would have been left unheard forever… 

The tracks on this first “Collection 1” were written and produced between the 1992 and 1999.

An exemplary sound artist who is able to drift and adapt to the environments presented to him.
Whether it’s apart of the multidisciplinary format of the well-regarded Skizze curations or stepping up alongside label-mates for Mindwaves Music, Briain is able to showcase an incredibly broad palette of soundscapes. What is consistently represented throughout all of his sets is an acute eye for IDM, experimental, ambient, jungle and numerous sub-categories of techno and electro, all meticulously presented in the proper context for the listener.

Parisian producers Alex T. and Noé B. are Charonne, a duo that have already achieved a lot in just a few years. Since launching on their own Rayka imprint in 2016 they’ve teamed up with labels like Automatic Writing and Lowmoneymusiclove, straddling the worlds of house and techno with playful, inventive productions. 

Their arrival on Partisan kicks off with big hit; “Reflexion Perception Distortion.” The track takes its cues from vintage bleep techno and brings it bang up to date with an infectious bassline, acid tones, and uplifting pad chords. Channeling the best that classic ‘90s techno had to offer and rendering it in a  hyper-modern, high definition finish, a bomb that melts across divides.

The rest of the EP follows suit, drawing on 303 action, cerebral techno expressions and synthwave electro house, their stylistic touch is never static, but full of melodies and parts that are addictive, seductive and seriously sculpted, we are thrilled to share it with you.

Thread captured our ears with their early outings on Reach Recordz, where they showed a unique approach to stripped down breaks and electro, mixing broken beats with minimal, electro and tech-house. 

A project run by two hard-working veterans involved in the electronic music scene for the past 15 years, Marc Ashken and Ben Micklewright, Thread is just one of the several facets of this productions duo which is playing a key role in silently and relentlessly defining what we believe is a very unique sound, that blends influences coming from the vast legacy of the UK electronic music culture. 

For this EP we’ve selected four diverse cuts that showcase Thread’s distinctive sound while keeping in line with our ethos of finding music that’s out of trends and time.

Our second analysis of frequencies from the void above resulted in a transmission which appears to be the legacy of an ancient intelligence. FTVA02 consists of four cuts by prolific producer Eliaz, where he presents his braided take on electro and acid house. 

On the A-Side the record opens with Visitore, a slow and deep acid track which lifts off gradually. With Second Start on the A2, we have a dark and moody electro cut where the drums and textures morph seamlessly with each other.

The B-Side opens with the Coincidental Mix of Everybody In, a powerful yet twisted electro cut where the elements unhinge steadily. Finally B2, 12H/Sun, sucks us into it’s range of acid and electric sounds resulting in a dark journey through the universe.

We’re thrilled to have another legend of the underground on O.C.D. : Alex Martin.
A very well respected mainstay in the Spanish Techno scene, Alex’s career spans 3 decades under different production aliases and releases on seminal labels like F-Com, Klang Elektronik, PIAS, Cosmos Records, Minifunk, Boozoo, Pagoda Recordings, many of which are now sought-after collectors material.
Alex is a very good friend of the label since long and a while ago he shared with us his DAT archives filled with unreleased material from the early years of his career. It took us a while, but we are now ready to give him the rightly deserved space on our Secret Sun series.
This is the first volume of a collection of never heard before music from Alex Martin under some of his several aliases, retrieved from the vaults to be finally made available to the world.
