The Method Collective chaps have been running shindigs around the Midlands and the North for a while now, hosting the likes of Gene On Earth, Alec Falconer and Youandewan to name a few.

Their new alias ‘Moonstones’ is a project inspired by Birmingham - the city the duo call home. During the 17th century, The Lunar Society of Birmingham formed a group of prominent figures in the Midlands Enlightenment, who would meet to chew the fat on social and cultural matters of importance during one of the golden ages of English history.
Moonstones have since been deposited around the city in recognition of its various members.

With Edd hailing from Lichfield, the location of these historic meetings, and Louis born just a couple of stops down the Cross City Line route, this mix pays homage to their beloved Brum and is a ‘tip of the cap’ to the city they are now prominent across.

Love the story behind Moonstones’s alias and the theme of this mix, and it’s safe to say the tune selection is as inspired as the history that led to the duo’s formation!

Expect a range of housey vibes, old stuff, rare bits and summer feels from this one - thanks again lads, top work.

With a craft being perfected since the early 90´s, he is now one of the most inspired and hard working djs in the business, a unique selection of records makes him one always to keep an eye on.

The Hateful Eight for dancefloor aficionados comes to you from France. Label Exarde is ready to hit with some bangers in ya chest - as always - with this fresh fourtracker from Lille's producer Aymeric.

Young musician from Northen France is a serious man and does not mess about. He has his own strictly vinyl imprint “These Tasty Records” with three releases already in his roaster. He was also spotted on five different vinyl releases but this time it is going be his first solo EP. Sitting in the lockdown Aymeric was inspired with proven classics from 1990-2000's and the roaring spirit of the dance crowd. Get ready for some rudest grooves for the peak time.

For our next interview and podcast series we present the legendary DJ and producer @dj-miki aka Major Hypnotic Key Institute aka il Delfino. Miki started his DJing career in 1980 at 18 years old (as well as being a member in New Wave band Photogram) and has been riding the waves ever since. Founder of labels Sun Generation Records and Major Ipnotic Key Institute, as well as a key figure in Florence’s 90s prog house and trance scene with productions in the cult label Interactive Test, the “Sound of Tirreno” was coined to define his sound. More recently we’ve enjoyed his Mudd Show at Opal, Milan with Jane Fitz and Seeker’s Flash Dynamic Triade Color Test compilation, of which he collaborated with Alex on the A&R and officially contributed with the track “Cavern”. 

He effortlessly shares his extensive and heavily researched record collection in a 2.3 hour mix for us, with the belief of music as an instrument of unity. When asked about his thoughts behind the mix, he responds,

"I was thinking about the importance of PEACE and mixing good tracks. I was thinking about Ukraine, of friends over there, of simple people who have to pay for all the shit, of the utopia of disarmament, of John Lennon. We have to for now only hope for peace and give hope of peace. Believe in it and don't give up!"

Our bye-bye series was started at the end of 2020 because we were boiling with this rage and desire to dance, to let go, to get out of this mind-bending and delirious reality we all found ourselves trapped in. Locked in our apartments, we were all going mad, burning with doubt, fear, and uncertainty. 

The first compilation was our love letter to the dance floors we missed and a promise to come back soon. Two years later, as we kiss goodbye to 2022, we blow our kisses to a year that has had its own share of darkness. But within which we found hope. We leave a year where the global stage seems more unstable and the future more uncertain than ever. But it is a year where we found our friends again, met our loved ones again, and found a new breath of life.

Get funky and sweaty so then you can lose yourself in a thick black fog. These series kick off with exceptionally rude and trusty prime-time warhorses, which are waiting for you on this double. Ladies and Gentlemen here are the Night Situations created by the young and promising producer Franco aka ffrvnco. Hailing from the beautiful country called Argentina he already managed to make enough noise for a lot of us music lovers to notice and keeping attention on this man’s sound output. The 3 original tracks by him and a remix by an also admirable artist are all kicking on this piece of wax. It is setting off the roof making the paint of the walls melt off and the ceilings drip whether you are at a club or at home or at friendly kitchens or at family gatherings which went rogue. 

Starting with a real energetic action blast called “Systematic Action” ready for anytime to go off waiting and wanting to get airtime. The remix gracing on side B is by the French maestro Aymeric who is like a family to this label and had done some serious body of work on it before. When Franco named this monsieur as the person who he would like to remix “Systematic Action” it was evident it is going to turn out great and strong just like it did. With A2 your ears and soul will receive some lighter twisted discotheque style number while B2 with its dark tool like qualities will really put things into perspective Exarde style. If you read that far, I would like to say thank you to the artist and to the listener because you living organisms are an absolute excitement!
