The red sun sinks heavily behind the hills as the long days grow short and the evening shadows grow longer. Summertime seems distant now, a season of yesterday. Chapter 11, a story split in tandem following the tales of two fresh faces unseen and new. The first tale is told by Duncan Thomas, a classically trained jazz maven infiltrating the electronic music world with untapped finesse and a provocative flare. Showcasing a style of impeccable taste and analogue intricacies, his track ‘Dizzy’ sets the tone, leading the dance that will follow.

His contemporary is the equally eager Argentinian ace, Luciano Amaya. A stripped-back enigma of class and carefully chosen elements. His music feels fresh, surgeon-like and selective, with no sound out of place or unwanted space. He channels a more mystical sentiment, alluring and curious.

Two journeys, worlds apart, connected through corresponding quarter notes and a connection to the music that bonds them. Welcome to the eleventh edition. The master number of make believe, a world of kaleidoscopic colours and fallen leaves.

Smooth operator Lamalice is back on Anthea’s Partisan label with Dysproprioception, a four-track release that leans into the French producer’s talent for atmospheric club tools. Driven by rhythm, serious swing, and a heavy low-end, the record moves with an effortless flow that pulls dancers deeper into its groove.

Unitology is here fresh off the stove. The story has been told by Bogota based artist Felipe Buraye who has been releasing steadily on the best international labels for you to check out, while also co-curating his own label called “From the Void Above”. Releasing under Buraye as well as his alter egos “The Voltaic Continuum” and “Dream Architect” allows you to see that there has been an immersive amount of work put in from this artist, therefore there is tons of music available whenever it’s on digital or vinyl format. It can safely be said that Buraye has got your audio needs covered. From A1-B2 the essence of the artist can be felt within his personal style that brings the Unitology to life. The artist has been a close friend of the label for a while so it is an utmost honour to finally have him on board with his signature flavour of music flawlessly executed.
