From his early days as a drummer, it wasn't until a chance trip to Ibiza and hearing the seducing sounds of DC10, Space and Cocoon that a new musical direction evolved, developing a deep appreciation of rhythm and percussion. The old love of groove based music was transferred to more minimal, electronic forms, learning to mix on his brother's old turntables. After rising the ranks in his local area and choosing to move to Leeds, it's here that he found his home at the renowned MiNT club, earning a residency for Leeds only weekly night of underground house music: Teknicolor. Through this time helping push the night to one of the leading fixtures in Leeds fruitful underground music scene and making appearances for the likes of The Zoo Project, Parklife Festival and Mint Festival.
In 2012 one of his tracks came to the attention of Darius Syrossian who selected it to be released on Steve Lawler's 'VIVa Music' imprint. The track ‘Do What You Do’ was favourited by many on the scene including Hot Since 82 and was then chosen to be included on the VIVa Music Best Of 2012 compilation mixed by Julian Perez. 
Skip to 2016 and a new collaborative project had grown with good friend 'Mac White' of London, the results being the 3 track 'Benirras EP' released on Basswalk Records.
Now focusing on refining his productions, a whole melting pot of new sounds are brewing and ready for release soon...

Open was founded by brothers Anthony and Frazer Campbell who have a passion for House and Techno which has spanned over the last 15 years.

Anthony and Frazer used to host parties between 2003-2008 under the 'Rotate' name across various legendary London venues such as The Cross , Turnmills , The Egg, Plan B etc but had a break from the party scene for a while whilst keeping up with the music from a consumer perspective. 

Open is our more mature vision of how we feel a good underground party should be , cutting edge and cultured electronic music , carefully chosen DJ's/artists , venues /spaces all programmed with a degree of taste. 

We hate the stereotypes in the industry , rubbish ill-thought samey music , bullish phoney promoters who talk nonsense. We strive to bring freshness to the scene with an eye for detail , unique bookings and as far away from a beatport top 100 music fest as you are likely to get. 

Open has a weekly show 9-11pm every Friday on www.hoxtonfm.co.uk - House & Techno from Anthony and Frazer with guest mixes and interviews from respected artists and DJ's who we respect and carry the same principles as we do.

Angefangen hat alles im Jahr 2013 in Berlin als wir gemeinsam mit Freunden unser erstes kleines Openair organisiert haben. Seitdem ist viel Zeit vergangen und wir können auf viele In- & Outdoor Veranstaltungen, die wir entweder allein oder in Zusammenarbeit mit befreundeten Kollektiven durchführten, zurückblicken. 
Der Fokus liegt neben einer liebevoll gestalteten Atmosphäre, vor allem auf guter Musik. Dabei achten wir darauf, dass sich nich nur bekanntere Künstler, sondern auch immer wieder aufstrebende Talente auf unserem Lineup wiederfinden. Diese Philosophie beeinflusst auch die Wahl der Dj’s, die wir in unsere Podcastreihe aufnehmen. 
Seit 2015 sind wir Teil des wundervollen MIT DIR - Festivals, welches uns ermöglicht sich auf allen zuvor genannten Ebenen zu verwirklichen.

It all began in 2013, when together with friends we organised our first little open air. Since then a lot of time has passed and we can now proudly look back on numerous events that we've organised, both in and outdoor, and both alone or in collaboration with other collectives.

The focal point of our parties, alongside a lovingly crafted atmosphere, has always been good music, and for this we make a point to have lineups consisting of both well known artists and emerging talent alike. This philosophy also influences the choice of the DJs that we publish in our podcast series.

Since 2015 we've been a part of the wonderful MIT DIR festival, which has allowed us to put the previously mentioned ethos into practice on a larger scale.
