which was my jumpy sister Micky Hurts her b-day bash edition.

hi there,

finally i found myself dj’ing in club atelier's main room again,
leaving me with nothing but delightful experiences and blissful memories.
it was my first officially booked 4h opening set* so i felt really excited; as it not only formed a chance to show what i am made of, but also enabled me to compose a high end sucre. set blending in perfectly with the sounds of respected dj and producers melon (@ratio) & @warren-fellow.
i feel a strong love for extended sets because it gives me more space to build-up, 
flowing through a wide variety of house genres, matching the now and the then, taking thee on a sweet housy journey… 
now it was the time to show that i am capable of doing so. 
it was my goal to get the audience lost in house music, 
with those punchy jackin' house beats and funky basslines. 
i enjoyed every second diggin' for this set and had even more pleasure in mixing the tracks,
so i hope you enjoy listening (and hopefully dancing!!) to it as much i enjoyed playing it.

😍 it is happening, sucre. will be closing ‘the basement’ during dutch decompression ‘artifision’ this year!! 🔥

to be able to play a set during an @burningmannl edition means a lot to me. 🥰
this year, i had the great pleasure to visit their @wherethesheepsleep for the first time. it is safe to say that i totally understand (and that’s an understatement) what the ‘post burn blues’ means; 🥺♥️ as it left me impressed how peacefully, sincerely polite and caretaking the burners were and acted to each other. those sweet people granted me to go from supporting my friend backstage (i was literally was dancing behind him on stage) playin’ burningmanbelgiums’ stage as sucre.! their tribe was so enthusiastic about my music and kind to me that i decided to stay at the festival while my friends were leaving which enabled me to play a little longer for them. it was like a dream coming true… the art, the vibe, the adventures, it was like a utopia. i had a swim in a submarine, met wonderful people, had great conversations, ate delicious food, had some nice drinks and ran into (close) friends and regulars from amsterdam nightlife. it kind of felt like coming home to me, mostly because these people and thus the community made me feel genuinely welcome from the first moment on. it got me real passionate and therefore to me it is an honour to close their house basement, as their new friend sucre.🔥

so dear burner people, get ready for a sweaty jackin’ house party from 04:00-05:30 a.m.! 🍬

also, it will be my debute @radionamsterdam too! it will be a night to remember and therefore @hommelsrutger and i decided to take things to another level, getting dressed up and ready to rumble by @nicksaan.kranck … 🎉

hi there,

For me, 2024 started with my first ever closing set @club_atelier_amsterdam, which was a lot of fun! 
We decided to take things to the next level and thus next to recording the music we also filmed the whole thang in 4K. This resulted in my first ever video-recorded set, which is now available on YouTube!

I managed to play 25 tracks in 1.5 hour, and as you can see, I get focussed every time during mixing as it really is my thing to do it good...

Fun facts: there was a lot going on during my set, can you spot them all?
- The CDJ’s were placed too high for me (as you may have noticed, I am small) so the stands were removed…
- You can see DJ Chanca looking around the booth for his phone (it was on the cd-stands); he eventually found it back on the dancefloor. 
- During the phone searchin’ the camera got unplugged once and almost a second time so we had to get a little bit creative with the footage! 
- It got pretty hot in there so I got rid of my hat and jacket at some point.
- As always I brought candy with me to the dancefloor, sharing it with the crowd!

The final track I played is our latest rework made from ‘Now You're Gone by Georges Ft. Stee Downes, i think it did really well on the dancefloor and i hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
