Here he makes a welcome debut with three fine cuts, Kicking off with 'Fly' a dreamy and beautiful affair, that oozes class from every pore. Beautiful pads with a dreamy edge glide gently over the bouncing bassline, creating a soundscape of happiness as we build effortlessly. Meandering gently across the wash of warmth, while packing serious punch on the dance floor.

Subtleness is the key here as this gem unfurls it melodies, while packing a mean driving affair. Kamilo Sanclemente is a Colombian producer with a rich musical heritage to his name. Now making his debut on Particles, Sanclemente provides rich entertainment with his original three-track, "Revelations".

From Cali, in the south west of the country, close to the Pacific coast, Sanclemente has built a strong and rapidly evolving reputation for himself. With close to a double century of Beatport production credits, the Colombian has thus found himself a regular on high-profile labels that include Einmusika, Baroque and Darin Epsilon's Perspectives Digital, since a debut for Suite 7 Records and the five-track September 2013, "Angels". Indeed, it was through the "Galathea" and "Arisen" tracks in 2015 that Kamilo saw his stock rise even higher for the Epsilon led label, with another appearance on the "MMW and WMC 2017 Sampler" with "The White City" in March 2107.

Supported by such icons of the underground dance arena as Hernan Cattaneo, Tim Penner and Danny Lloyd, Kamilo Sanclemente continues to impress with original and remix production material in the progressive and tech house genres. Now making his debut on Particles, the "Revelations" EP presents a musical triptych of the highest order.

Opening, with the title track, the dark brooding sounds of "Revelations" build effortlessly through sumptuous pads and eerie lead line that flows in liquid beauty. Through its elegant and evolving characteristic, a strong rhythmic foundation is laid with clicking percussive cadence, before a haunting vocal phrase permeates the upper frequencies, lending a richly textured layer to Sanclemente's work.

"Desolation" continues the Colombian's exacting attention to detail as a strong percussive groove provides a beats-laden backdrop. Building with consummate-ease, themes mirrored in "Revelations" are immediately evident as free-flowing middle-eastern melodies ease into the mid-range. Hitting its stride in the third movement, the rhythmic urgency, counterpoint motifs and reprised themes, showcase Sanclemente's skill and technique.

Fuelled by a driving, running bass line that supplies urgency and dynamism, "Another Earth" builds with gathering pace as strong beat and offbeat snare/clap combine with hi-hat pattern to create a robust backdrop. A filtered arpeggio enters the fray with rising chord progressions and epic snare fills, creating a storming floor-filler that thrills the senses. Sanclemente's technical knowledge of the dance arena is in full evidence through carefully placed use of rise and drop in an impressive club track.

The "Revelations" over Kamilo Sanclemente's talent are in little doubt in his three-track musical vignette.

Dubai-based Subandrio is, in musical terms, considered a very safe pair of hands. His career began back the late 90s when Progressive House reigned supreme. Now with a Frisky Radio show - Global Mission - and a DJ diary bursting at the seams, Subandrio makes his Sudbeat debut with four exceptionally crafted tracks. 

‘Fugue State of Mind’ is a masterpiece of subtle, mindful power. Sonics and FX dance with abandon on the skippy percussive backbone of this track as the signature motifs rise and fall along with the tension and release.
‘Rain of Drums’ hacks back to the glory days of prog with low end sweeps, bleepy rhythmic arps and a satisfyingly groovy bass line. 
‘Rewired’ picks up the pace with a plucked bass taking the lead ably assisted by strong sound design and some well chosen samples.

The latest release on Clubsonica Records welcomes Kamilo Sanclemente back to the label for a brand-new EP. Long regarded as one of Colombia's foremost progressive house talents, Kamilo has found a home on Einmusika, Manual Music and Parquet Recordings, while earning continued support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy J. Now fresh off a remix for ICONYC, Kamilo returns to Clubsonica for his debut artist showcase entitled 'Homeward'.

In a journey spread across three tracks it's the chunky grooves of 'Gemma' which gets things underway. Fast becoming Kamilo's trademark, it's free flowing storyboard is a delight for the senses, with the first act taking shape as a tasteful arp fades into prominence. Deeply hypnotic, the energy shifts with clustered claps and sizzling modulation, before eventually culminating in a tepid rush of crystalline melodies and airy vocal pads. 

The pure progressive house vibes continue with the EP's second selection 'People From The Future'. Kamilo's penchant for warm, contoured grooves is what makes this such a dance floor gem. Deep, rolling and with a bevy of momentum it anchors the tight rhythmic core and dulcet hooks perfectly. A lone vocal stab adds epic flair as the jangly melodies evolve, before getting washed away as a spiritual vocal initiate a classy drop and purring finale. 

The release concludes with its title and showcase piece 'Homeward' which sits as the most reflective of the three. On a backbone of pulsating bass comes acidic rhythms and symphonic pads. The smooth euphoric build is expertly executed and perfectly dialled for the dance floor as cascading arps and phasing harmonics carry through a poignant second act. Positively electric yet remarkably restrained this gentle sonic vortex culminates, before giving way to the warm, euphoric groove once more. It rounds out three stunning tracks from Kamilo, which further cements his place in the progressive house elite.

The latest edition of our free download series finds Ezequiel Arias returning for his second appearance. Hailing from Cordoba, the Argentinean artist has grown into one of his country’s most prodigious progressive house talents. Upon making his debut in 2013, Ezequiel became a favourite of both Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Subsequent releases on Plattenbank, Replug, Sudbeat and The Soundgarden followed shortly thereafter and cemented the Argentine’s place amongst the progressive house elite. Ezequiel made his debut on our free download series with the well received ‘2AM’. Written in conjunction with fellow countryman and Sudbeat artists Interaxxis the track featured heavily in the sets of progressive house tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Sahar Z. Now returning for his second appearance Ezequiel unveils his much sought after ‘Private’ remix of Michael A’s ‘Ciklus One’. Originally released on Proton, Ezequiel’s interpretation has been shrouded in mystery after being aired in Hernan’s sets for the better part of a year. An artist who continues to impress with a growing portfolio of high-calibre music, Hot TuneiK returns to Proton Music with the striking twin-track "Circles of You". Remixes come courtesy of Hungarian and Argentinean stars.

DJ, producer, promoter and record label owner, Hot TuneiK has found himself at the forefront of Mexico's underground dance scene. Unforgettable Hookah showcase events and a unique brand of deep and progressive house have seen regular appearances for the likes of Balkan Connection, Sound Avenue and Particles amount to almost 300 production credits. An April 2018 EP for Proton Music shone a spotlight on the Hot TuneiK name before remixes from Lanvary and Matter continued the "Revival". Now returning, the flowing melodic lines of "Circles of You" meander enticingly before a deep beat and rich percussion filter into range. Building majestically, a simple grooved arpeggio provides another rhythmic anchor before extending in range into the third movement. White-noise washes add to the overall character in an elegant work. Partner track, "Melancolia", opens with a deep and flowing rhythm that hypnotises with its muted melodic underpinning. Weaving a magical spell, cadenced arpeggios and freeform string and key motifs are sprinkled liberally across the upper frequencies to mesmerising effect before joining forces with the sumptuous rhythm in the second half.

Hungarian duo Peter Makto & Gregory S are no strangers to success. Founders of the Truesounds Music label and DJ agency, their hard work has seen them become high-profile names at home. Simultaneously, a production career has found the duo on the catalogues of some of the finest labels that include Bondage Music, King Street Sounds and Go Deeva. September 2018's "Purple Rain" saw a full debut on Proton Music with a glorious twin-track offering and a remix of Michael A's "My Style" earlier in the year is now followed by a hypnotic reworking of Hot TuneiK. Using the arpeggio sequences found in "Circles of You" to impressive effect, Peter Makto & Gregory S have created a mesmerising remix that retains dancefloor character with chest-thumping kick and ticking percussive flavour. The coruscating patterns of Hot TuneiK's rich chord progressions add further depth in a compelling track.

A relative newcomer to the underground dance scene, Sebastian Sellares has quickly found himself as a sought-after producer under his own name and Monje moniker. With a "driving progressive house style" that has seen his work feature on Or Two Strangers, AMITABHA and PHW Elements, support has come from Hernan Cattaneo and Graziano Raffa. Now debuting on Proton Music, the Sebastian Sellares remix is an elegantly crafted affair that makes intelligent use of original components as a foundation for an array of new musical ideas to flow. The central riff from "Circles of You" plays a pivotal role as new motifs ripple around it in shimmering delay. Making their presence felt at the stripped back mid-point, they emerge into the third movement backed by a wonderful new bassline that ties superbly to the driving beat and high-cadence percussion. The result is sublime affair hallmarked in quality.

The first release on Nikko.Z's Dopamine White finds Christopher Fafa launching the label with a new single entitled ‘Fourty'. Acting as a companion to Dopamine Music, the White division will focus on progressive music's freshest up and coming talent with an emphasis on quality and creativity. Already a member of the Dopamine family, Christopher Fafa provides the inaugural ‘White' release alongside a remix from Lucas Rossi. 

Beginning with the original mix Christopher aims squarely at a peak time progressive minded dance floor. Warm beats and a fluid low end power the foundation while astral stabs and organic drums provide rhythm and swing. Devilish hypnotic, wispy effects adorn the framework as smooth chord changes shift gears into more emotive territory. The main break melts down to the synth elements for a spacey yet tension filled interlude, perfectly setting up a smooth finale. Christopher has also included a second version entitled the ‘Age Is Only Numbers' Mix, which has the groove open up and the drums play a more prominent role in the narrative. The emotive response elicited from the original is very much present here as well, with gorgeous chord changes and melodic fragments working in harmonic unison. 

The release concludes with Lucas Rossi providing the lone interpretation of ‘Fourty'. With a discography that includes appearances on Nick Warren's The Soundgarden and Antrim's Or Two Strangers, the Hernan Cattaneo favourite now lands on Dopamine White with an amazing remix of ‘Fourty'. Anchored by a warm, rippling groove and detailed percussion, there's a smooth yet electric mood from the outset. Like most Lucas Rossi productions space and flow are at a premium, with tranquil arps and tepid tones sitting in a perfect sonic marriage, before the main break adds a quirky flair, setting up a purring finale. A super remix from Lucas which caps off what is an auspicious start for Nikko.Z's Dopamine White, who look to be an ideal companion for the long running Dopamine Music.

The rapidly thriving onedotsixtwo label launches its 2020 campaign with yet another essential release, this time from the multitasking main man himself, Tripswitch, who has masterminded an incredible refreshing of his classic ‘Box Fresh’ track, having enlisted the studio skills of Emi Galván, Forerunners and Nicolas Rada, alongside him on remix duty.

His remix of December has seen exclusive early support from Hernan Cattaneo on his Resident radio show, and it is easy to see why. Deeply hypnotic and with a wonderfully intricate arrangement this is masterfully melodic music of the highest order.

Completing this expansive 5-track package is an utterly blissful remix of The Miracle courtesy of Lèrr. This Montenegrin DJ/Producer is recognised for his unique style combining groovy, deep, melodic, progressive vibes. Roger Martinez's Higher States continues a great year by welcoming RIGOONI to the label for his debut single. Hailing from São Paulo, Vinícius Souza aka RIGOONI has been rising out of Brazil's burgeoning electronic music underground. 2019 was highlighted by an appearance on Nick Warren's Balance compilation, setting the stage nicely for a 2020 release on the legendary DJ's The Soundgarden imprint. Subsequent offerings courtesy of MNL, One Of A Kind and Strangers Beats have made for a breakout year. Now fresh off a remix for Luka Sambe's 'Alive Is The Meaning', the Brazilian artist debuts on Higher States with 'When Midnight Comes', alongside a remix from Alex O'Rion.

Often sitting in the creative space between organic and progressive house, RIGOONI once again amalgamates those sensibilities on 'When Midnight Comes'. Anchored by a warm, spacious groove, its atmospheric scope comes up quickly, with glowing overlays and blissful swells layering a bed of effervescent percussion. Haunting vocal fragments marry harmonic drifts across the first act, eventually segueing into the main break. A more distinct musical narrative sits at the heart of the centrepiece, as rustic plucks and piano cascades play off each other wonderfully, resonating against a backdrop of glowing electronics, before the groove drops for a reflective finale.

Returning to the label and providing the lone interpretation of 'When Midnight Comes' is Alex O'Rion. Now fresh off the release of his 'The Long Walk' EP for Cid Inc's Replug Records, Alex lands back on Higher States for his first remix. Taking a cue from the original while adding a progressive state of mind, Alex crafts a perfect complement to its predecessor. Atop a well contoured foundation comes rolling rhythms and layers of striking percussion. A unique contrast of character and groove eventually reveals fragmented melodies and harmonic overlays, blanketing the pulasting framework for goosebump worthy moments. A bed of percussive delays trails across the main break, subtly building tension as hazy motifs unite for an exhilarating final movement. A stunning remix from Alex once again, which rounds out a superb Higher States debut for RIGOONI. Highly recommended.
