Paul Deep returns with more signature sounds on the 'Arishem' EP.

It's been nearly a year since the sensational 'Dogma EP' came out and in that time Paul Deep has continued to astound and entertain. His trademark style enveloping the listener in a warm blanket of melancholy angst which never lets go. 

Basing all the tracks on iconic cartoon characters from US and Japanese counter-culture, first up is 'Arishem', a sleepy beast of a tune that slowly awakens into a monster. Deep and satisfying, the kicks open the track up as melodics creep into earshot. Next is 'Ashema' follows on apace. Emotional mind music for the soul. Marvel-ous! Finally, 'Dohku' weaves its sonic tale. Upbeat and engaging, the melodically rich layers create a tapestry of sound and emotion.

Interaxxis returns to the label with fresh music for 2020. 

For the past 7 years the Argentinian duo has worn a familiar path. Sun-drenched beats, warm melodies and devilish grooves set them apart from the crowd and releases on Selador, Hope Recordings and Balance Music cement their position among a handful of South American producers with real global appeal. 

First up is ‘Bleakness’, a sombre exploration of interconnecting melodies and textures. Stripped back percussion and a rubbery low end gives rise to playful synths, pads and FX telling their melancholy tale. Next, ‘Sikker’ draws you in with its bass power. Stark, icy sonics rally against field recordings, deep melodies and machine funk bass. Finally, ‘Inside’ featuring Paula OS is trippy downtempo left turn into the afterhours; Paula’s sobering vocals working against the dubby backdrop hypnotically.

Something of a rockstar in his native Belarus, Dmitry Molosh has matured into an internationally recognised artist of acclaim. Signed to a glittering array of labels including Hope, Plattenbank and Beat Boutique to name a few as well as headlining at clubs and shows all over the world, his signature silky style has won him a legion of fans. 

‘Elision’ opens in playful mood. Bouncing bass notes skip along with percussions gathering pace before the track really kicks off with a monstrous droning reese. Ethereal vocals and melodics take the track up a gear midway before a cavernous break resets the energy for the final drop. On ‘Nemesis’ saw-toothed bass opens with shuffling shakers. Never in a rush, the bass becomes spikier as more elements drift in with the main synth that grows throughout the track.

Clubsonica Records begins the summer season by welcoming Julian Nates back to the label for a new EP. The Argentinean artist first appeared on the Colombian imprint in March of this year with 'Wild Side'. Backed by remixes from fellow countrymen Analog Jungs and Fabri Lopez, the release achieved remarkable success, earning support from Hernan Cattaneo and Guy J. Also calling Nick Warren's The Soundgarden and Antrim's Or Two Strangers home, Julian now returns to Clubsonica with 'The Last Call | Stardust' alongside a remix from Rick Pier O'Neil.

Electrically charged with punchy kicks and rising rhythmic structures, it's the energetic intensity of 'The Last Call' which gets the release underway. Elusive yet charming, its robust groove is inspired, mesmerizing with each successive loop as percussive details fill in the framework. Cinematic overlays advance the narrative into a tense break, highlighted by sizzling modulation and clustered drums, before a fiery crescendo summons an acid-fuelled finale. Taking the release into more emotive territory 'Stardust' entices both the heart and mind. Exceptional groove aesthetics make for a percussive, swing heavy jaunt, while vivid melodies and tranquil arps invite you further into this heartfelt beauty. Spanning over a minute in length, the main break melts down to a percussive rumble and meditative drawl, as a blanket of hopeful pads leads the way to a smooth rush and charming finale.

Making a welcome return to the label and providing the lone interpretation of 'The Last Call' is Rick Pier O'Neil. In addition to appearances on Beatfreak Recordings, Sudbeat Music and JOOF Recordings, the French artist has also found a comfortable home on Clubsonica, where he has released three singles and two remixes since making his label debut in February of 2017. Now following a single for Outta Limits, Rick returns to Clubsonica with an inspired rendition of 'The Last Call'. Coming in tougher, darker and more techno inspired it sits as a wonderful complement to Julian's glowing original. Devilishly hypnotic, the first act builds as elastic-like synths and phasing electronics saturate your senses. The main break pushes the narrative one notch further as waves of noise and panoramic designs sizzle, before a calculated build brings a rush of beats and drums inciting a tastefully twisted finale. A stunning remix from Rick which rounds out a welcome return to Clubsonica for both himself and Julian Nates.
