Both respected players of progressive scene, Cid Inc and Dmitry Molosh have enjoyed exciting careers. Producer, DJ and Mastering Engineer, Swedish powerhouse, Cid Inc has releases on a whos who of labels and has played at all the leading clubs and festivals. Equally, Belarusian pioneer Dmitry has been trailblazing for nearly a decade and continues to have a gig diary taking him around the world. 

Opening with the title track, 'Impending Storm', the pairs unique influences find a perfect middle ground in subtle tribal drumwork. Gathering pace slowly over the first half with some nuanced layering, the track really fires off as the main break hits. With tension building throughout, the second half is trademark peak time. 

Next up, 'Coalition' takes a deeper path. Twinkling arps and rising pads draw you in as the percussive underbelly becomes more pronounced. Proper journey prog, the sonic tale they unfold keeps you hooked until the final beat. Finally, Dutch favorite, Navar reimagines 'Impending Storm'. Sub heavy drums and a skippy percussion framework clever sonic reconstruction, as Navar takes us down a dark, late night trail full of dirty synths and grimey intentions.

'Already an iconic figure in the underground dance fraternity, Dmitry Molosh now takes another leap forward with the creation of his Proportion record label. Created as vehicle to showcase the Belarusian’s extraordinary talent alongside an array of high-profile and rising names, Proportion launches with an eponymously titled EP with an original track from Dmitry himself plus a remix from Finnish legend, Cid Inc.

Dmitry Molosh has presided over a stellar career path. Rising rapidly to global prominence from his Belarus home, Dmitry has witnessed a steep upwards trajectory where his music has reached out across nation boundaries, engaging listeners with a distinctive, powerful and forward-thinking sound. Over 500 production credits can thus be credited to the Dmitry Molosh name as he continues to find his musical talents in considerable demand. Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music, Gai Barone’s Afterglow, Nick Warren’s Hope and Cid Inc.’s Replug have all showcased the Belarusian’s distinctive sound, while US leviathan Proton Music has also featured an array of original and remix material. Supported by the DJ glitterati that include Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Khen, alongside the celebrated label heads, Dmitry Molosh now opens his account on Proportion.

The title track of the same name is a stunning affair. Redolent in the trademark characteristics that have made him such a sought-after producer, a chest-thumping kick anchors a glorious, head-shaking bass groove and woodblock percussion. Ticking hi-hats add to the collage as a beautifully imagined synth motif filters its way across the 8-minute piece. A further bassline adds weight and dynamism before a stripped back breakdown creates a gateway for a rousing crescendo of white-noise and pitched effects. These then pave the way for the sultry bassline cadence and synth line so prominent in the early stages, to work their magic once more in the second half.

Cid Inc. require little introduction to the underground dance faithful. A legendary figure for two decades, the Finnish star has been responsible for entertaining audiences around the world with his immaculately crafted DJ sets while creating some the finest moments in modern electronic music history. Seeing his work featured on legion luminary imprints that includes the likes Lost & Found, Einmusika JEE Productions and Sudbeat Music, the latter saw Dmitry Molosh & Cid Inc. join forces on August 2021’s “Impending Storm” to devastating effect. Cid Inc.’s own Replug label has also been a potent vehicle for his own music while furthering the musical careers of a plethora of other artists who have gone on to become dominant forces in the global dance music arena.

An esteemed music engineer and renowned producer, the Cid Inc. remix of “Proportion” is characterised by an intricate and dynamic percussive groove that propels the track forward. Accompanied by a hypnotic bassline sequence and similarly mesmerising arpeggio, melodic elements for the original ripple to the fore in a sublime atmospheric collage. Smooth pads and white-noise flourishes build before falling away to a spine-tingling drop, as the rhythmic and bassline foundation provide a club-friendly closing section.'

A Particles regular and an artist with a growing portfolio of original and remix production material to his name, Chihaka is a welcome returnee to the label with his "Hupenyu" EP. Able to point to a clutch of tracks for the likes of The Purr, One Of A Kind and Balkan Connection South America, Michael Chihaka hit the ground running on Particles with his "Nyarara" and "Pinda" EPs in October 2019 and May 2020.

The title track is a glorious progressive house offering that glitters with filtered arp and sympathetic bassline sequence. Building delicately through white-noise swells and analogue synth phrases, a beautiful piano sequence of piano chords lights up the breakdown before a glissando bass repeats the underlying motif in a sublime musical layer. Anchored by strong beat and hi-hat groove, the result is an outstanding piece of original music from the Chihaka studio.

Another growing force in the world of underground dance music, Imran Khan has seen his stock rise steadily for the likes of Stellar Fountain, Mango Alley and GMJ and Matter's Meanwhile imprint. Finding a home on Proton Music with a series of original EP's including 2019's "Organik" and "Sunsweat", remixes for Dmitry Molosh, Michael A and Petar Dundov have sparked another side to the UK producer's arsenal. 2018's "Eva" and remixes for the likes of Kamilo Sanclemente, Hot TuneiK and Savvas, represent a strong body of Particles work as Imran Khan now reworks "Hupenyu" with typical aplomb. Resonant in huge seismic bassline, elements from Chinaka's original gradually filter into sonic range as the track progresses through its eight-minute voyage. Familiar chords and pads seep through, whilst a wave of original production material shines across the track with immaculate production technique. A heavy kick and percussive flow add to the powerful groove in another flawless offering from Imran Khan.

From the Chilean capital, Jesus Gonzalez is a relative newcomer to the deep and progressive house seen with his OHMZ production moniker. Catching attention with original work for Flug Lab, The Purr, RYNTH and a December 2021 remix of B.A.X. for 3rd Avenue, the Santiago resident makes his Particles debut with a spellbinding reworking of "Kupisa", first heard on Chihaka's "Ndarasika" EP in August 2021. OHMZ has thus created a beautiful organic house interpretation through his "Pacific Gardens Remix" that draws on the themes resonating through the original, whilst creating a new and innovative piece of music redolent in soft piano sequences, free-flowing synth passages and emotive chord patterns. Backed by a subtle breakbeat rhythm and clicking, popping percussive groove, OHMZ has provided a wonderful addition to the EP.

Through "Hupenyu", Chihaka has one again captured the attention, supported by remixes from Imran Khan and OHMZ.

We welcome non other than Andrea Cassino with a classy rendition of Cosmic; which hits all the right chords from the word go. Andrea's deep entry merged the roomy glowing drive, filtered stabs and stunning groove which beautifully led into a drop full of tension and excitement, while the understated yet driving bassline and layered drums power the groove along. He manages to keep the energy up, allowing the driving melodic house feel to shine thru over the many layers and textures to create a beautiful soundscape to round off this classy underground crowd pleaser. Essential stuff from Andrea!

Every time Guy J releases his solo material on Lost & Found, the world of music lovers is ready for a treat. He's not only one of the leaders of the global scene but a musical innovator pushing the limits of studio techniques and borders of abstract emotional content. His latest conceptual masterpiece consists of two tracks ranging in length from over 7 to almost 11 minutes and a total run time of over 18 minutes. The opening track, Last Standing, blends the progressive motifs with an out-of-this-world anthemic breakdown. The piece is simultaneously melodic and nostalgic but manages to deliver a new, previously unheard edge to the technical execution of the production. The first release of 2021 sees Replug Label Managers Cid Inc. & Orsen join forces once again to release a three track EP of previously unreleased music, entitled 'Unreleased'.

After the success of their chart topping '10' collaboration, which celebrated the label's 10 year anniversary, Cid Inc. & Orsen delved into the hard drives to pull out their most sought after, unreleased tracks from the last 2 years, which had been heard and ID'd in DJ sets around the globe.

Cid Inc. starts the EP with the earth moving, acid fueled 'Ground Control'. A 303 ladened juggernaut which evolves and accumulates energy and anticipation over a meticulously produced 9 minute journey. The summit of the track is reached after a nearly 2 minute long break which twists and turns as the distorted filters and envelopes work their magic, reaching their crescendo with a thunderous re-entry which drives the track back to its core fi nale.

The second track is the long awaited follow up collaboration from Cid Inc. & Orsen entitled "A Blessing in Disguise". Leading on from 'Ground Control' it sets the mood once again, with a driving yet more subtle build, a metronomic presence and pulsating rhythmic stabs lead us to the evolution of a held back but anthemic edged melodic breakdown. Both elegant and designed in nature, it has all the hallmarks of what to expect from Cid Inc, Orsen and Replug.

Finally is the previously unreleased 'Continuum' from Orsen. With flavours of tracks of old, it is a no nonsense peak-timer, which grows in presence as the track opens up with repeating cyclical 'hoover' stabs and arpeggiators, leading to an 'old skool' infused, single melodic line just before the track heaves back in to run to its energy ladened conclusion.

Another sublime outing from both Cid Inc. & Orsen to start the year and surely to be another standout Replug release.
