Premiere: Chicola - Tipsy [Lost & Found]

It has been a busy year for Luka Sambe, starting with the release of his album, ‘The Fundamental Transcience of Everything’ in January and a series of high performing releases on All Day I Dream, Souksonic, Vapour and more. With a rich history in the scene, Luka is fast becoming (if not already) the leading Australian progressive artist of his generation whose talent is fully stated in this new EP on Sudbeat!

Opening with ‘Combina’ warm, spacey sonics sit on top the beat patiently waiting the rush. Picking up pace, layers of melodics and icy pad sweeps create a tensive energy which peaks at the main drop. ‘Pari’ starts deep and sparse, more thoughtful than it’s partner. Melancholic leads and wistful pads combine for an early floors grower that’ll enchant. Rounding out the trinity, ‘Vertiginous’ is a punchy cut with spiky sonics and playful energy. Bouncy bass and insistent percussion keeps things moving along at pace while gelatinous stabs ricochet around the room.

Hailing from Cordoba, Ezequiel Arias has grown into one of Argentina’s most prodigious progressive house producers. Upon making his debut in 2013, Ezequiel became a favourite of both Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren. Subsequent releases on Replug, ICONYC, Sudbeat and Suara quickly solidified the Argentine's place amongst the progressive house elite. Similarly, Emiliano Folgar and Martin Kazez, aka Interaxxis operate at the centre of Argentina’s progressive house scene. Continued support from Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren and Guy Mantzur, along with releases on Hope Recordings, Replug Records, Selador and Plattenbank have made Interaxxis one of the genre`s most sought after artists. Now coming together for a very special collaboration, Ezequiel and Interaxxis present '2 AM', a track heard extensively this year in the sets of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Guy Mantzur and Sahar Z. Returning for its eighth outing, Meanwhile co-owner, Matter, makes his solo debut for the label via the unique musical triptych of "Amanita".

From his Melbourne home, Matty Doyle has generated a tsunami of success through his Matter production moniker. Able to point to a release portfolio with over 400 production credits to his name, such esteemed imprints as Balance, Anjunadeep, BeatFreak Recordings and Proton Music have all played host to his much sought-after music.

Now creating a new narrative for his unrivalled talents within his co-owned Meanwhile label alongside fellow countryman, GMJ, "Amanita" is redolent in trademark production features that have seen Matter in such high demand. A smooth blend of rolling percussive groove, heavy beat and cavernous bassline propel the track forward with unrelenting pace as a filtered arpeggio adds to the aural melange. A glorious synth lead enters the fray at the mid-point breakdown before a rousing wall of sound marks a club-friendly zenith before the track builds once more with its star-studded cast of musical characters.

The heavy beat and wite-noise washes of "Hikikomori" provide a weighty anchor, allowing an immaculately programmed bassline groove to weave its path between four-to-the-floor rhythm and offbeat hi-hat shuffle. A heavily delayed synth line adds a touch of class as it ripples across the seven-minute piece with ease, providing subtle introspection and emotive layers in abundance. The result is a head-shaking groover that is sure to the take dancefloors by storm into 2021.

A pulsating, running bassline immediately characterises "Wormhole" as it dynamically develops courtesy of an intelligently placed melodic variation that provokes a spine-tingling emotion in the listener. An array of percussive shakers and chest-thumping kick create a spellbinding sonic palette, while a free-flowing synth line drenched in reverb and delay adds to the emotion playing off the filtered and now staccato bassline phrase. Creating a flawlessly executed progressive house anthem, Matter has once again demonstrated why his production work draws such high praise from fans and peers alike.

A career that continues to mushroom at impressive pace, "Amanita" exhibits all the qualities that finds Matter very much flavour of month.

Morttagua brings his first single of the year with the deep and mellow “Pallas”. 

Pallas is a track with long history on the making as Morttagua produced the first version of the track in early 2016.  Initially the track wasn’t planned to be released, but Morttagua showed it to the legendary Luciano, when both were sharing a studio session in Switzerland in 2018, and it immediately got an amazing response from him. When getting this important feedback from Luciano Morttagua finally decided to release the track and was just waiting for the right moment.  

Now with the Organic House genre making big waves on the scene,  Morttagua found it a perfect time to release the track. 

Pallas is a very melodic peace of art with harmonic pianos, strings and guitar melodies surrounding a soft ethereal vocal. On top of the very emotional feel of the track, Morttagua adds a very unique percussion work to make PALLAS literally go through our six senses.

On the Remix duties for PALLAS we bring legendary Nick Warren teaming up with Argentinian rising star Nicolas Rada. 

Nick and Rada change the original into a more hypnotic dance floor weapon, with that special “Soundgarden” trademark sound that is capturing the imagination of many fans around the world. With an astonishing drum work and mix design, this Remix takes us into an atmospheric journey through lush pads and introspective melodies, giving us the perfect combination of harmony and groove for our soul and body.
