From the banks of the Volga, "Arepo" rises from a fortified citadel as Anton MAKe forges another powerful construct from the Sator Square. A rhythmic cadence rolls effortlessly forward as a bassline sits below in symmetrical beauty. Melodic splendour ripples concurrently in hypnotic parallel and a heavy beat anchors the symphony of sound. A returning Dutch master orchestrates a new masterpiece redolent in aural textures and opulent sonic palette. Glistening patterns swirl and coalesce around Roger Martinez's vivid synth lines, pitching and bending against a harmonious chord sequence in delicate layers of tonality.

Along Lake Ontario's north western shoreline, a new edifice rises from Dowden's distinctive sonic architecture. Muted tones provide a mirror image of "Arepo"; a bouncing bassline creates easy familiarity while a new groove creates the framework for new artistry to flourish. A South American star creates an arpeggiated backdrop with palindromic majesty where John Cosani reinvents "Arepo". Water droplets of sound filter through the sonic spectrum alongside familiar bass patterns and a swathe of original textures blend in vivid sonic colours.

Next up, we welcome Simos Tagias to the label with the 'Mantis EP'. 

A prolific producer, Simos Tagias has released with everyone from FSOE and UV to Replug and Mango Alley. Based in northern Greece, he made his breakthrough with Lynx Records a decade ago, and has gone on to create an enviable back catalogue with support across the progressive scene from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Cid Inc.  and more. 

Opening with lead track, 'Mantis', we are quickly swept up in Simos' epic soundscape. Dirty bass and gunshot stabs playfully work against shakers and sidechained pads growing the tension over time. Midway, new synthlines add meat to the bones of this chunky groover before the main break cools things off a touch. 

'Daydreamer' begins apace with gated bass and eerie atmospheres. Dark and moody, the sound design creates powerful mental images as the tracks takes hold. Closing the EP, the tribal rhythms of 'Breath' feel extra funky. Synth washes and sparse percussion give the track acres of space to breathe(!) creating a light breezy vibe. Solid work from one of the scene's unsung heroes.

Deepwibe Underground opens the spring season by welcoming Eichenbaum to the label for his debut EP. Born in Argentina, but now based in New Zealand, Andres Eichenbaum aka Eichenbaum began his journey into electronic music at a young age. Cutting his teeth as a DJ first, Andres shared the booth with some of Argentina's best home-grown talent at the trendiest venues throughout Buenos Aires, before eventually relocating to Waiheke Island, New Zealand. Continuing his journey as DJ down under, Andres has programmed music for some of Auckland's premiere venues, most notably Neck of the Woods, Studio The Venue and AURA, while opening for international talents Booka Shade and Dave Seaman. Early into his production career, Eichenbaum first appeared in January of 2021 with a contribution to the Soundteller Records 'Vibrant Vibeland' series, before going on to land projects via Droid9 and Massive Harmony. Now embarking on the biggest release of his career, Andres adds Deepwibe Underground to his resume with 'The Two Faces of Bliss'' alongside a remix from Andres Moris.

Summer is ushered in by the debut of Spanish artist Luis Damora.

Launching his career at the turn of the century, he quickly became famous for his DJing skills as a resident at Madrid hotspots Circus, Pasapoga and more. After living in the UK and US, Luis returned home with new ambition and began releasing music on a number of influential labels including Suara, Toolroom and Armada. ​

Opening the EP with 'Echoes of Love', bongo grooves and delicate pads make way for triplet bass and wild reverbed sweeps. Warm and inviting, the track builds up a head of steam mid way with new melodics and bass layers adding depth and interest. The main break is an oasis of calm before the groove consumes you for the second half. ​

'How Can I Believe' follows with percussive melancholia. Deep and emotional, the track takes its time to level up with a rolling bass and spiky stab undercurrent. Sonics and icy sweeps keep interest high as the bass does its work on the floor.
