This year's Summer Collection (curated by label owner Nick Warren) is 20 tracks of Electronic gold. Every track chosen reflects the diversity of the label and showcases some wonderful artists' work.

We kick off with Leandro Caceres' "A Strange Case", a melancholy journey of part sadness and part joy. Next is Urmet K with "Sri Sukta", organic Sri Lankan vibes with a beautiful vocal from Shawni. Nosssia with "Amoureux" brings a weighty groove and melody to die for. We drop the tempo next with Marcan Liav and "Aninat In Space", a beautiful vocal track.

Stillhead is no stranger to The Soundgarden and with "Amusia" we head straight to the beach for a relaxed and groovy journey.

Bautista Toniolo brings us "Grumari", a lovely light progressive track with a refrain not a million miles away from 70s prog rock.

Pedro Capelossi is up next with "Mystical Atlas" which as its name suggests, takes you on a journey around the globe. This went down a treat for Nick in Argentina this year.

Amol Reon serves up a groovy delight with "The Dawn". Joyous melodies envelope you and send the dancefloor into overdrive.

French artist Sasson and SEGG deliver "Crossing Path", which locks you in and doesn't let you go. A great track by these young artists.

And we have Maezbi's "Patri" – it’s all things gorgeous, like a walk in the rainforest. It is one of Nick's favourite tracks of the past year.

We start off the second half of the compilation with the hugely talented Christian Monique's "Nexus Protocol". It’s a real statement of intent and was Nick's opening track on many of his Argentina shows earlier this year. This is followed by Vinu with "The Source", containing a brilliant hook that works a treat.

Facundo Baggio delivers a progressive bomb with "Osho" and Zankee Gulati gives us a peach full of melody.

Anhauser, Lio Q, Nicolas Leonelli’s "Montevideo" is a South American groove machine and Australian GMJ's track "Lifewaves" showcases the producer’s great talent.

The Soundgarden’s friend Fran Bux is next with "Forest Of Light", which lit up the Andes on Nick’s Argentina tour at the start of the year.

Doma and Amir Telem satisfy the dancefloors before we end with the blistering Subandrio & Nishan Lee's beast of a track, "Borax", which is a heavyweight groover.

Ladies and gentlemen the time has come for you to meet Konstantin Kuranakov a. k. a. Jiminy Hop - underground music producer from the exotic Altay region settled down in Russia's northern capital - the foggy Saint-Petersburg. Starting his DJ career in 2016 inspired by David August's Boiler Room mix Konstantin keeps on growing as an artist, mastering his brand sound and producer flair.
Besides the "Jiminy hop" - his main project, made his appearance at Dyo Atoma together with Sam Scheme doing mostly progressive house, deep house, melodic house and organic house recordings.
The vast popularity and love was brought by US, Argentinian, Mexican, Dutch and German audience as well as Russian musical "market" where he drops plenty of interesting projects in different genres.

Stereo Underground - The Last Dance (Preview)

Back for a third sonic voyage into the world of deep and sensual progressive house, GMJ & Matter welcome 10 artists, both seasoned regulars and label newcomers, as they showcase “Meanwhile Excursions, Vol. 3”.

Opening the 2023 edition, Sri Lankan and US duo, Dimuth K & Forerunners create a smooth rolling groove from where “Exit Reality” flows in melodic rivulets, eerie synth lines and ambient effects. Hitting its stride post-breakdown, hypnotic patterns provide dancefloor vibrancy. Continuing the coruscating rhythmic vibe, EMPHI and Zankee Gulati deliver trademark poise – the Swedish star generating an immaculately cadenced synth line and textured pads on the club-friendly “Azur”, and the Australian producer bearing fruit with shimmering and free-flowing lead lines and bouncing bass groove on “HereAfter”.

The next quartet ably demonstrate a collection of artists at the peak of their powers, Armenia’s Ruben Karapetyan builds bass dominance and seething sultry dancefloor prowess in the early movements of “Erechtheum” before a mirrored synth line blossoms post-breakdown. Seasoned Greek producer, Simos Tagias, needs little introduction to the Meanwhile faithful and “Reality” is replete with 24-carat production pedigree as silky smooth and Vangelis-esque passages swim across a chunky backdrop. From the Balearic Islands to Belarus, late-night gems sparkle in the moonlight where Not Demure generates spine-tingling emotion with “Vis Pace” through his gradually evolving melodies that reach a stunning zenith at the breakdown. Rising and falling within a sturdy beat, sub bass and light percussive surround, the result is a progressive masterclass. The crunchy bass sequence and emotive chord sequences of “Upside Limit” are a deft reminder of Michael A’s production talent. Developing with ease, and stamped with a watermark of sonic identity, the Michael A sound is easily identifiable.

Making their Horizons debut Ezequiel Anile and Nicolas Petracca have been creating waves in the progressive house fraternity for more than 5 years as EANP. “Forget” is no exception with its delicately arpeggiated pattern and flowing stripped-back mid-section that is then juxtaposed alongside hefty beat in the latter stages. The uplifting chord progressions and ethereal atmosphere of “Just a Toy” finds Anton Brazhenov creating a dense and swirling aural collage with his Meeting Molly moniker, holding firm against a mesmerising grooved backdrop. The free-flowing sequences and organic-sounding synth work of Tommi Oskari rounds Vol. 3 off with the aptly titled “Morning on Mercury”. Delicately pitched, twinkling keys and superbly programmed bassline create an innovative sound which picks up the pace in the final stages after a captivating trip across outer the solar system.

10 new tracks of shimmering and ethereal beauty highlight a progressive voyage of discovery within “Meanwhile Excursions, Vol. 3”.

Zankee Gulati broke on to the scene in 2011 and is making a real name for himself in Sydneyís thriving clubland. A DJ and promoter primarily, his talents are now branching out to production. With releases on The Soundgarden, Balance Music and more, his distinctive sound is being to reach an international audience. 

Opening with ëThe Ripí a tough mid set groove wastes no time reaching an early crescendo, where vocal chops and a wobbly synth line light up the floor. ëUtvecklaí keeps up the pace with a low slung vibe with warm melodic flourishes perfect for the summer months. 

On remix duties, Paul Deep turns in two contrasting reimaginations. Firstly, the ëBasement Remixí takes us in a late night direction. Focusing on a hypnotic groove, the melodics act as layers of percussion all pointing towards a heads down stompathon. The ëTerrace Remixí sees Pauls lighter side; bouncy and joyous.

Originally released at the end of 2022, "EXT 135 / Elemental / Time to Space" showcased GMJ and Matter as masters of the progressive house genre. Now, Meanwhile revisits the 3-track EP with a trio of outstanding new remixes. Henri Hurtig has been at the vanguard of modern underground dance music for close to two decades with his Cid Inc. production alter-ego. Some 600+ production credits for the likes of microCastle, Lost and Found and his own highly respected, Replug, are testament to an enduring appeal as is a packed tour calendar where the Finnish star continues to tour the world. Now making his Meanwhile debut, the Cid Inc. remix of "Elemental" retains a similar rhythmic poise to the original as a familiar bass pattern blends with a squeaking, bleeping effects layer. A trademark storming beat and seething dancefloor character is in full evidence as a distorted and frenetic breakdown leads to a new melodic character in the second half to brilliant effect. The result is a typically impressive reworking full of dynamism and brio. A rising star in the progressive firmament since early work for EIN2 in 2018, Tantum has hit considerable heights with his music on Juicebox Music, Mango Alley and Guy J's Lost and Found. A Meanwhile debut in mid-2023 saw "Secondary / Suan Pan / Narko" place the German star front and centre with a musical triptych of the highest order, as Tantum now returns with a deep and innovative take on "Time to Space". Replete with rolling groove and deep bassline presence, a more stripped back offering allows the central motif from the original a chance to flourish within a new cadenced structure, while richly textured pads flow effortlessly across the musical stream. Rising and falling in easy patterns, a new arpeggiated pattern makes itself heard alongside a raft of additional production material and counterpoint melodies as the remix heads towards a rousing finale. Reworking "EXT 135" themselves, Meanwhile head honchos, GMJ and Matter have given the track a sublime "Ambient Reprise". Stripping away the powerful rhythmic backdrop of the original, the duo have created a sublime interpretation that captures the central melodic elements of the original, allowing them to blossom unencumbered by dancefloor character. The result is a chorus of deliciously crafted keynotes and melodies that blend together in seamless fashion, held together by a deep sub-bass groove. The result is a smooth and pristine slice of electronica magic. Shining once more through remixes from Cid Inc. and Tantum, GMJ and Matter have given a new lease of life to "EXT 135 / Elemental / Time to Space".
