Coutts Guestmix on Beyond Control Techno Sessions with Wayne DJC (01.09.23)

CJ Slayer is a fresh Melbourne DJ making waves. Winner of Your Shot 2022, she’s long been in the electronic music scene, raving her way to a solid musical education.

Her sets are driving with a diverse range of electro beats to dark-wave/post-punk, hard hitting techno, with an attempt to bring her audience on a journey to the unknown. 

Recently, CJ made her international debut at Chasing Summer festival supporting Tiesto in Canada. She has played at events around Melbourne with Beaufort Beats, Warg, MTC and Track08 to name a few.

She’s also a host at DJ Social Club open decks, and is passionate about social connection, and creating positive vibes within the community.

- Qui es tu ?
Martin Gremmel, alias GREMMLiNS, un touche à tout qui s’est plongé complètement dans le DJing il y a 3 ans.

- Tu joues quoi comme style de musique ?
J’aime jouer de tout !
Mais j’ai un faible pour ce que j’appelle la « psytech », un mélange tribal et galopant de techno qui tire vers la psytrance.

- Décris ta musique en 3 mots :
Mélodique, psychédélique et acid.

- Raconte-nous ton meilleur moment DJ ?!
Pour le moment je dirais que c’est ma première date au Studio Saglio, pour le Festival des 30 ans du Studio, c’était grisant d’être devant le Saglio rempli !
J’ai hâte de faire mieux !

- Ce serait quoi ton endroit rêvé pour mixer ?
Le Fusion Festival, ce lieu me fait rêver, une ancienne base militaire russe entre Berlin et Hambourg, décorée depuis plus de 20 ans… incroyable pour les yeux.

- Ton goal en 2023/2024 ?
Vivre de ma passion.

- Une anecdote de soirée à nous raconter ?
J’ai fait deux closing à deux endroits différents dans la même soirée, c’était sportif mais un bon kiff !

J’ai pris mon aise petit à petit, un peu brouillon par moment mais percutant et dansant et assez psyché dans l'ensemble. c'est tout moi ! haha !
