This THIRD single of a bunch of 9 to be released between 2023 & 2024. This one is an intrumental trying to capture the mood a sexy and erotic B movie on a VHS you would have rent in the mid 80s. Our Synthwave challenge that will end up with a full album in 2025. The mutation of Suffocating Minds into SFMD is a passage from the shadow to the light thanks to a positive Synthwave that claims the typical codes of 80s Pop Culture. The turning point? The musical encounter, followed by a real collaboration, in 2021, with the genius of Retrowave: Droid Bishop (L.A.). Main influences: Kavinsky, The Midnight and John Carpenter's main soundtracks!

SFMD is a Belgian band from the French-speaking part of the country (Liege). The band has produced 2 albums since forming in the late 2000s. SFMD has had the opportunity to play on a number of Belgian stages, as well as performing in Paris, Moscow and even...Salt Lake City!   
Since 2021, a second life!
SFMD has entered into a stimulating collaboration with an Australian producer based in Los Angeles - James Bowen aka Droid Bishop, a rising artist on the international Synthwave scene. The single "Valentine" was released at the end of 2021, reinforcing the band's Synthwave influences. SFMD are now concentrating on releasing 9 singles between now and 2024: these will form the basis of their 3rd album, due out at the end of 2024. 
Having really grown up in the 80s, they're faithful to the sounds, melodies and colours of their teenage years, and they're firm believers that it's possible to evoke the 80s through original compositions with a pop edge: they grew up with Depeche Mode, Talk Talk, Duran Duran, David Bowie, Giorgio Moroder, John Carpenter films, the music of Jerry Goldsmith, Stallone and the rest... Yes, they used to ride BMX bikes through their home town, drive through the woods for hours without a phone in their pocket, play with LEGOs and wear out their ATARI 2600s and Commodore 64s until they were hungry! They are the generation of Flashdance, Flash Gordon, Rocky, Indiana Jones, Gremlins and Back to the Future, and they want to continue to dream, share and move with the panache of the artists of those decades. who brought them to life... Will you join forces?!
