I was raised around the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Cana, VA. and was exposed to many different varieties of music. My dad was a fan of everything from Big Bands to Bill Monroe. Mom was a teenager in the 50's and her tastes in music proved it.

As a teen I was attracted to the Hair Bands and anything Rock and Roll. As I became a young adult I migrated toward old time and Bluegrass music. I spent many weekends picking with friends from the Round Peak section of Surry County, NC. Later I was pleasured to associate with artists such as Wes Golding, John Bowman and the late Cullen Galyean. I also played extensively with Jim King, father of James King. There are others too numerous to mention.

Though I strayed into a normal life of working for a living... the music always stayed in my heart. What you hear is the results of all those influences. Its nothing perfect... You'll hear mistakes, my dogs and yes... allergies. Its just me relaxing. Thanks for your time.
