As a quartet with standard rock band formation, the Electric Goat Combo makes what its members call Post-Stoner – a mix of stoner rock, post-rock, and jazz. In its compositions, the ensemble always keeps a psychedelic drift capable of moving toward other landscapes, by incorporating different instruments, improvising, or even bringing other musicians to its formation. In its concerts, the group invests in visual experiences, resorting to projections as part of the scenery.

The band emerged in 2009 in Rio de Janeiro, and its first work was released in 2010 by Pisces Records. The album, called Vertigo Blues, can be downloaded for free at the band's Facebook page. Lately, the concerts have been a priority on the band’s schedule, working as a laboratory for both new compositions and visual experiments.
