SULEIMAN RECORDS is a Montreal boutique digital label founded by DJ/producer Darem Aissa. The name of the imprint pays homage to Syrian poet Suleiman Al-Aissa, one of the most prominent contemporary Arab poets.

The intent of SULEIMAN RECORDS and its vinyl-only sub-label AISSA RECORDS is to promote and produce positive, quality, underground electronic music. Taking influences from House, Techno and the many amalgamations in between, involving a diverse array of talented artists worldwide.

In the heart of the city, where the noise of daily life never ceased, there was a moment, rare and almost forgotten, when silence fell. It started with a single note a sound so pure that it seemed to resonate not just in the air, but deep inside, somewhere beneath the surface of things. The note lingered, a gentle vibration that rippled through the stillness of a crowded street, unnoticed at first by the masses, but slowly, they began to listen.

The music unfolded in waves, each note a soft touch, like the brush of a hand against a weary heart. It was a melody that felt both ancient and new, weaving through the space between people, as though it were meant just for them. As the notes flowed, a subtle shift occurred a quiet healing, not of wounds, but of something more delicate, more essential.

Those who heard it, even for a fleeting moment, felt something stir inside them a release, a softening of burdens they hadn’t realized they were carrying. It was as if the music had found its way into the hidden places, the spaces left untended, and gently began to soothe them.

No one knew where the music came from, nor the name of the mysterious hand that had touched the world so softly. But the track, Heal the Unknown, was all anyone knew. The unknown, the composer had called it. Perhaps it was not a mystery of the self, but of others the strangers walking beside us, the invisible pains we carry for one another.

The world was not healed all at once, nor in any grand gesture. It was subtle like a whispered truth, a quiet shift, a brief moment of peace carried on the wings of sound. And through it, in its gentle, invisible way, the human race was touched. Slowly, imperceptibly, the healing had begun.
