SulkyThread (Eric Michael Sanchez) is a VRChat music producer, live performer, and creator of the genre “Allstep,” a fusion of dubstep, electro-pop, and other electronic music styles. Based in Nashville, TN and born in New York City on October 16, 1989, he’s a former world champion paintball player and 12-year surgical technologist who now pursues music full-time.

Known for high-energy performances in VRChat using his iconic Sulky Cat avatar, SulkyThread blends influences from Skrillex, DJ Alice, Excision, and Avicii into tracks like “My Names Not Nancy,” “Bass Tire,” “Mexico,” and “School of Fish.” He releases new music almost daily, debuting songs first to his Patreon and Discord before sharing them on SoundCloud, YouTube, and Spotify.
