UZ made his mark on SoundCloud in 2012 with the groundbreaking "Trap Shit" series, a collection of 25 genre-defining trap classics. His influence extends beyond SoundCloud, with heavyweight projects like the "BallTrap Muzic Vol.1" compilation commissioned by Redbull Studios and his 2017 debut album "Layers," which soared to #24 on the Billboard charts. His discography boasts numerous albums and collaborations with major pop, rap, and electronic artists, including T-Pain, Ice Cube, DJ Shadow, and many more.

UZ's electrifying live performances draw dedicated fans worldwide, exploring the newest sounds and artists in trap, rap, bass, and beyond. Since I was old enough to truly appreciate music I've been dabbling in recording. When I was 12 I would play into a tape deck and re-route the signal to a duel tape karaoke machine. Then I could dub and over dub at least two instruments at a time to make my own mix.

At 16 I had my own PA in the basement, and at 17 built a pair of sub-woofers in a garage with the help of a high school friend. I had always loved sound, live, recording, or performance.

In 2002 I saw an advertisement for a Boss BR-1180 that had a built in CD-burner, saved up my money and spent $1000.00 on the ten track recorder and the very next year they came out with a 12 track for $800.00, isn't that just the truth with technology?

What started in the suburbs of Atlanta GA, then moved to St. Petersburg Florida, Now in Seattle Washington. And I certainly got my use out of that 10 track recorder. I composed music for two plays, and recorded four albums & over a dozen demos for local songwriters.

In 2009 I upgraded to a Pro Tools rig. Since then I have been offering my ear and attention to detail to singer songwriters, bands, and theater related projects.
