Folk-flavored indie pop artist from Annapolis, MD

Summit Point is a talented, young, up-and-coming rock band from Charles Town, West Virginia, consisting of Tristan Miller on lead vocals, guitar and drums, Lucas McCaffrey on drums, guitar and vocals, and Isaac Heavener on bass and vocals. Lucas and Tristan met at the January 2015 Washington High School Talent Show where they performed separately. Soon after, they started the nucleus of what would become Summit Point. In February, Isaac, Tristan's long-time friend picked up a bass guitar for the first time and quickly began learning. Officially forming Summit Point in March 2015, the band began to play covers of popular rock bands from the 1990s and early 2000s such as Foo Fighters, Blink-182, The Killers, and Nirvana. In addition, they began to write original songs. With a wide variety of influences, Summit Point is creating a stir as a must-see local act that brings an energetic, mature and unique sound with modern rock and punk sensibilities that reflects each of the members' diverse musical influences.

Currently, Summit Point performs electric and acoustic shows at different performance venues, restaurants, cafés and parties around the Eastern Panhandle. They are planning to expand into other venues in the DMV area. Being multi-instrumentalists, they occasionally switch between guitar, percussion, and vocals. The band plans to record an EP this summer and release it in digital and physical formats, featuring original songs and select covers.
