Ravij began writing and preforming in church at nine years old. Her music became her life, each song is her story. Ravij acquired her name in high school when she got into free-styling. Her classmates started calling her Ravage after seeing her battle in the lunch room and hall ways. She makes music people can relate to. She has experience performing live and has put on shows in a variety of venues across the West Coast. From night clubs in the Phoenix, AZ - Metro / Tempe area (The Sets) back to Portland, OR (The Escape, Egyptian Club, Starz, Backspace) She got started releasing collaborations & several underground tracks via internet. With her first compilation selling online when she was only 15 years old. Since Ravij began she has featured on songs & recorded with an array of local artists such as O.C. (Only Christ) on a Christian Rap project. Being heavily influenced by artists like O.T.M.S. (Octavia the Mic Strangala) who also produced Christian Rap music. Ravij performed mostly at church in the beginning, reciting her testimony lyrically or free-styling influential words of praise and struggle for her peers in youth group. She credits her actual roots in music to Livingstone Fellowship & NW Fellowship as these outlets provided her safe haven and positive encouragement resulting in her creative process. Along with her childhood friend Chaos (Recording Artist, Producer & Founder of Livingstone Entertainment) also providing consistent motivation and inspiring her to write lyrics daily. Her debut release "Weapons of Mass Destruction" fell short of shelves in early 2004. After her mentor, friend & Label founder Chaos was lost tragically. Bringing an enterprise of NW Hip Hop Artists involved with Livingstone Entertainment Group to a complete halt at the forefront of scheduled Full Albums approaching release. Label founder Chaos (Lavell Lindsay) had just finalized his first Official music video. Her loss caused a shift in not only her aspirations but also completely shifted the dynamic of her lyrics & song writing. Inspiring different content that some listeners considered dark border-lining negative thoughts and expressing her pain with her words. Ravij is a dynamic artist, who draws from real life experiences and struggle as her tool in relating to those who listen. Somewhat comedic at times she has been known to "expose herself" by volunteering her shortcomings for the sake of a punchline. However Ravij also holds her ground as a female emcee and when provoked has participated in her share of public Rap Battles. Ravij is a force to be reckoned with, possessing infinite or even limitless unique ideas to contribute to her art form. She has produced music in other genres including Rock / Folk music for fellow artists such as Misty Dawn. (Rock - ALT) Also incorporating these different sounds into her own flavor of rap music by featuring such diverse musicians and lyricists in her own songs. Honorable mentions would be including Misty Dawn (Folk singer) on her tell all style dedication to her Grandmother entitled "Just Know". Listeners favor her work with vocalist Showdy Dowop (S. Lumpkin) singing and rapping together on "Unspoken Words" referred to by fans as "You Don't Know Me". Various collaborations with Hip Hop artists like Methix (AKA Markis Grave) Killah Snowman (Yewmanyeti) and Rider (AKA Nature) including various artists across the US & Canada on her mix-tape compilations in the early 2000's.

Musical Explanation: The music I create represents the struggle of growing as an individual, alongside the substances and events that normal individuals partake in everyday. I try to be the voice of the truth of today's society, voicing what is occurring in our society creating music that mirrors life, often placing my own spins and explanations upon the different occurrences that my music embodies. My music also speaks often of the word "Kill" which is simply a stylistic choice to rather denounce violence and show the true ignorance of people that think killing is actually cool, almost mocking the words "kill, murder, ect." I serve to create music that people may feel different ways while listening to. My music also serves to show the labels placed upon people of my ethnicity as a whole, and I often call my self names such as "Nigger" in my music, simply to take a word meant to break me and use it to elevate my life. As a whole my music is something I intend to be positive in nature, no matter what the subject matter entails.
