Born in Madrid on May 12, 1980. He grew up influenced by the music suburbs of Compton, his roots. It was around the year 2000 when he oriented his path towards Chicago, San Francisco House and began to experiment with electronic sounds, forming his first collectives where they manifested themselves in the form of rave and underground parties. Currently he emerges with his project M O K S A diving between analog synth sounds, dark bass lines, and uncovering sounds and artists hidden in the dowtempo/slow/organic/darkdisco/indiedance/techno without forgetting his origins.

Outside traditional paths these driving grooves and polyphonic structures take the adventure seeking dancer to Dionysian highs and places never been before.

Deep in the natural paradise of Hwange, between Bulawayo and “The Smoke That Thunders”, close to the mysterious Dete town, there are some destinations that sound almost mythical, like Kalahari. Inland lies the land of empty: the Namib Desert. Never in your wildest dreams will you have imagined how incredibly stunning and beautiful emptiness can be. Endless plains are crossed by imposing mountain ranges, bordering this area you find the highest sand dunes in the world, you can meet the wildlife. Magical fairy circles, mountain ranges and the famous dunes of Sossusvlei which glow in a deep red color in the light of the rising sun and color an almost eery pink in the light of a full moon. Hoani Teano fell asleep in Amsterdam and wake up days later under an endless number of stars in the Namib Desert. This is his first offering for Shango Records. These two tracks can take you out to the wildlife. A X L, Distic and Men On Black are the Kalahari surfers.

Artin Anderiasian (known as Derias) has always been an admirer of the endless possibilities of music in particular the allure of rhythm, melody and chord progressions. It was through this very essence where he began to develop his passion for electronic music. Derias's sound comprises of deep, melodic house carefully blended with spacey atmospheric pads. He is the co-founder of the Los Angeles based collective Vector LA. 

What inspired the mix?

"With everything occurring in the world today and amidst all the chaos, I took a slightly different approach with this mix and wanted to provide more of a sound healing journey. My goal was to create a story; a melodic experience with a consistent ethereal sound from beginning to end. Throughout this mix, you'll find an infusion of both current and past inspirations including Leifur James, Pablo Bolivar, Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Powel. I thoroughly enjoyed putting this together so I hope you enjoy as well!"
