London’s Tehbis and Touchy Subject land on Astrophonica with Magnet For Your Mind, a joint EP that represents the yin and yang of their creativity. Produced without overthinking, the EP’s six tracks are split into distinct halves: one built for the dancefloor, the other for the headphones. “We use a multitude of platforms to write our music,” says the pair, who have made quiet moves over the past five years with releases on Brownswood Recordings, Numbers, and Wot Not. “Digital production, live instrumentation, samples, live vocals. Hopefully the result is music that people can relate to and vibe off.”

A note from Utile Creative on the artwork concept and process:

"The artwork begun with the concept of positive and negative ends of a magnet. After the drawing had been finalised, we scanned it in to allow us to artwork appropriately for the Risograph printing process. For those who don't know, risograph printing is similar to screen printing in the sense that it prints one spot colour at a time through a mesh screen. What's different is that its fully automated, bar the print settings you can apply from the PC.

The machine we have at UTILE is an RP3700 and we chose to keep the colours relevant to the magnet concept by choosing Bright Red and Medium Blue. The halftone settings were adjusted to allow a more solid print, which is why when you look closely you will notice the design is built up of small dots. Once we were happy with the alignment of the two colour layers, which can often be very misaligned, we rescanned the best printed artwork ready for mass printing and the digital artwork." - Utile Creative

I first met Franjazzco via Chris Hessle's last Dubsquare Radio Show on SUB FM in about late 2011. We both already shared a big love for 160 sounds and followed the movement for quite a while. His connection builded up through his love for Chicago House and mine through UK Harcore/Jungle. That led to a split 12" in june 2012 on disko404. This was possibly also the first Juke/Footwork/160 release in Austria ... Exciting times! 5 years forward, and its a big pleasure to announce that I've done a remix for Franz for his forthcoming album on Balkan Kolektiv which also includes more reworks from BSN Posse, alllone and Shao. Big ups everyone involved!

Rootless is made-up of two friends based in Valencia, who met Malou at a DnB party (named 'Breaking Bass Parties'). They became friends and produced music together, part of which can be heard here. 

We also welcome back https://soundcloud.com/londydub to Good Street, after his No Offense EP was released back in September 2014. The Boston based producer adds a ghetto edge, working the track through a choppy journey.
