The final part of our 5 year celebrations are here and just like our second part, we've asked a wealth of talent to remix some of the classics we've had the pleasure to release over the years. The final batch of remixes showcase the variety we've always prided ourselves on, from classic liquid vibes by Echo Motion and Hazqa, jungle flavours by Karma Kingdom, jump up by Colossus and deeper vibes by Enok & Option collaborating for the first ever time.

Up first, Enok & Option team up to take Mindloader's debut Detached offering down a deeper direction, while bringing out the best in both of their individual styles. This is followed up by Karma Kingdom returning to the label to flip K2T & Sirus' 2018 classic, 'Rwenzori'. By keeping true to the original and updating it with chopped amens and a more rugged bassline, Karma Kingdom showcases his unique take on Drum & Bass effortlessly once again.

Colossus steps to the plate next to rework Linear's track 'Calling' and transforming it into a jump up monster, showcasing this talent's versatility. Echo Motion's remix of 'A Carousel in My Mind' by K2T & Sahara follows, taking the hip hop original down a liquid Drum & Bass route, as Echo Motion does best. This EP is concluded by Hazqa, who takes K2T & Echo Motion's playful 'Arctotis' down a more mellow direction while maintaining the essence of the infectious piano hook from the original.

It's been a pleasure providing high quality music for the last 5 years and as we at Detached move into the next 5 years, we can't wait to continue staying true to our ethos.

Hi all,

This Scientific Radio episode was recorded just a few days after the passing of one of pop music's greatest icons. What made it all the more fitting was that it actually snowed here in Amsterdam during the end of April, which is a very rare event. 
Prince was/is a legend and a true songsmith, someone who always followed his own path, even when it didn't prove te be succesful. His guitarskills were also above and beyond almost everyone else, just watch the solo he did on While my guitar gently weeps at the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame performance in 2004 to know what I'm talking about.
Required listening: Dirty Mind (1980), 1999 (1982), Purple Rain (1984) and Sign 'o the Times (1987).

OK, now for the show; this one contains a nice chilled out first hour by Vin-E, but look out for Ubik in the middle! VRG takes it up a notch during the second hour with some hefty beatwork. 
The biggest thing however, is that you'll be hearing a lot of unreleased tunes, forthcoming on Scientific Records by the likes of Bungle, Hiddenwave and Inertia. Go check it out!
