Episode 460 brings us the third mix from Section, boss of Locked Up Music and one half of the duo, Dark Ops!

Section's mix features tracks from his upcoming LP on Counterpoint Recordings, forthcoming tunes, tracks on his Locked Up Music imprint and more! This mix is my favorite of the three! Dark, moody upfront tunes, stripped back rollers, deep, lush tracks, nasty steppers, and crisp amens! Deadly vibe on this one!!

Let's meet our dj for episode 460, Section:

Section is a DJ/Producer from Worthing (UK) and has been releasing Drum and Bass since 2013 on a variety of the scene’s biggest labels including; Dread, Skeleton Recordings, Serial Killaz, Counterpoint Recordings, Audio Addict, Deep In The Jungle and Directors Cut. In 2017 he started his own label, Locked Up Music, which has gained support from all corners of the scene. 
In early 2021 Counterpoint Recordings asked Section if he’s like to do an LP for them. It didn’t take long for Section to get started and by the end of the year it was wrapped up. The Fourth Hour is coming out in early summer 2022 on the Portuguese label and you can hear several tracks on Section’s EDJ mix.

Section has plenty planned for the rest of the year so keep an eye on his socials for gigs, mixes and releases.

Meanwhile, a mere handful of releases have earned her a permanent residency in the record box of any self-respecting junglist — her highly technical, yet wondrously freeform weapons proving devastating each and every.

Metalheadz Podcast 62 features a legend at the controls - Digital.

First appearing on the label all the way back in 1996, Digital is a true pioneer and has gone on to build one of the finest back catalogue's around including genre defining tracks such as 'Deadline', 'Phantom Force' (with Spirit) and 'Spacefunk'.

He last appeared on Metalheadz in 2017 with his 'In The Lurch EP' and has been busy on other projects ever since, including the recent 'Total Control' album release and a brand new Phantom Audio EP.

Digital will return to Metalheadz soon but for now enjoy this extended podcast alongside Blackeye MC.

Metalheadz with SB81 & Diverge - 20 May 2020

Its 2 years ago today we lost our man Duncan Busto aka Spirit. Feels like there's a big black empty hole where he used to be... (And there's a mahussive hole in my DJ sets too!!!) we all miss him! So back in Feb this year we had a cracking night for him @ Village Underground on Sunday 9th Feb 2020 featuring a quality line-up. Massive thanks to each & every DJ & MC who performed on the night, even our crew that couldn’t make it to the show due to the adverse weather & severe storms cancelling flights, trains & causing havoc on the roads…!

During SUNANDBASS 2019, we were proud to host EQ50's special talk presented by Marcus Intalex Music Foundation Radio. The talk was hosted by DJ Flight who brought together and interviewed many of the badass womxn from our community and which ultimately inspired us to present them bit by bit this December calendar.
These conversations are finally to be released as videos and podcasts for you to (re)discover little by little.
