SMOOTH N GROOVE RECORDS - #135 - [Recorded live on Future Sounds Radio] - 17th April 2022

Hailing from southern Germany and now residing in Basel, Jungle Josy was hooked on Drum&Bass instantly after hearing it for the first time….The deep love for wobbly basslines and rattling Snaredrums has been a major influence for half her life and fuelled her passion in getting active herself as a rave promoter and DJ.
In terms of genre, the wobbling bass from jungle classics like "Super Sharp Shooter" has never let her go, but Josy loves also the full spectrum of Drum & Bass, Liquid to Deep onto Neuro, anything that catches her ear with a heavyweight bassline. 

Together with Wooksen, she also hosted the radio show Lower Frequencies at a local German alternative radio station. Live she can mostly be found in Switzerland, although DJing has also taken her as far as Israel.

Pretty mellow vibe throughout the first hour of this sesh. Some lush jazzy cuts and deeper tings. Some jungle-flavored sounds about halfway, into some dubwise roller selections. Then it's minimal bass rollers and tech-flavored tracks into more uplifting soulful liquid rollers and technical cuts towards the end. Nice relaxed vibe in the chat this week with a solid crew logging on for the ride. Let's do it again next week!

Loxy has been representing for proper drum and bass since the start of the 90’s, on both the decks and the production boards. 

Known to pretty much never drop a beat and be absolutely on point with hunting down the latest and best sounds, his technical ability and superb selection have seen him asked to be a resident DJ for some of the best in the business – Metalheadz, Hardware, Exit – and the list could go on and on. He’s also really increased his own production output in the last years, gracing labels such as Exit, Digital Soundboy, Metalheadz and of course his own CX:Digital imprint. 

All of this makes his contribution to the music both undeniable and totally essential – immerse yourself in the sounds – and we’ll see you next week on the island!
