Hey everyone! I'm back with my last place poll winner, an original fan theme this time: a conceptual final dungeon theme for a hypothetical Xenoblade Chronicles 4!

The themes for Mechonis Field, The World Tree, and Origin are some of my favorite tracks from the Xenoblade series so I wanted to do an original take on an equivalent track for Xenoblade 4 that does them justice. This track of course takes heavy inspiration from the aforementioned themes, but also some inspiration from Xenoblade Chronicles X. I also just like getting the opportunity to make something more atmospheric for a change, it was fun.

Now what exactly is my concept for this area? Well, the 'LOTUS' is effectively a giant orbital strike cannon akin to the Space Colony ARK from Sonic Adventure 2. I imagine that during a pivotal moment in 4's story, the LOTUS will fire at and destroy a location within the game's world that was important to the main cast or their progression in some way. You wouldn't enter it until the ending of the game, however. 

Before the weapon fires, it charges a buttload of Ether by mechanical panels that are on top of the structure which resemble the petal of a lotus flower that "bloom" when the weapon is charging, which is where it gets its name. One small tidbit I imagine is for this to also be a slightly Japanese-inspired area while also being sci-fi focused.

For those of you who are on my Discord, you'll know I stated that I'm into creative writing as well. Well, one of my concepts is for a hypothetical Xenoblade Chronicles 4 including this area. Maybe we'll explore that concept more further down the line, who knows?
