Made in collaboration with Mike Diamond. We started this one in LA, on a day where we only had a few hours to come up with something. Time was against us but we had this loop ready to go, Mike (Diamonds) added beats and started chopping things up in a couple of hours. Just as a last touch we decided to add some special Digitalism distortion (yes we know, you'll be asking, what is this? But it's like a good batter, the only way to find out is to taste it). And then we got this!!! Like the other two tracks it has become a staple in our sets.

The 'Lift EP' will be pre-released for DJ's August 23rd courtesy of Beatport and then available world wide from September 23rd.

Ever since his pioneering ‘Chip Tune’ releases, David E. Sugar has continued to release innovative and often daring records.  
Drowned in Sound described him as ‘inordinately likeable and absurdly catchy’ and ‘Fingers On The Button’, the 3rd single to be released from his debut, is a quirky slice of electro pop using almost conversational delivery and continuous synths to build into a erratic and exciting fusion of styles, it’s a breath of fresh air in an otherwise bland electro climate. Leo Zero provides a spacey house mix featuring a distinctive wobble which will surely bend heads.  While the summer ready Slow Motion drift remix by Sunday Best is a breezy laid back release perfect for the summer.  ’Although You May Laugh’ is a softer harmonious bass fuelled ballad with compressed synths and melodic guitar riffs, its production echoes the great releases from his early years.  Regular Berghain (Berlin) DJ and producer Tommy Four Seven uses a delayed vocal echo as a backdrop to build a tense, slow burning techno mix perfect for the afterhours (exclusive to Beatport.com). While the Drums of Death remix, is a club ready electro mix using steal drums to create a relentless groove for the dance floor.   With previous single releases on Kitsune and Greco Roman, David has gained radio support from the likes of Zane Lowe, Pete Tong, Huw Stephens, Kissy Sellout and DJs such as Jesse Rose, Hot Chip and Groove Armada. It’s his unique blend, accessibility and credibility, that assures David E. Sugar will continue to remain at the forefront of UK electronica for years to come.
