I want to let you know, that you can listen back now to my mix I made for the appreceated SPACE VIEWX guest mix podcast series in autumn 2021. And because this podcast series disappeared for a while and it is not clear if it is coming back and when, I want to keep my mix save for you on my SoundCloud channel for a listen back..if you want.

This mix really has a special meaning for me. It was created at 13th Nov 2021, the day my son turned 16 years old. It's my first mix what appeared in a public place ever under my name SAI. I am so thankful for that, that David Motang a.k.a. Paranoid Soul gave me this chance and opportunitiy to host me as an absolutly no name in that time. It is amazing what happened after that in only two years, and I reflect on this fast developement regularly because it still feels a bit unreal to me. Something what never happened, living more than 20 years in Berlin now.  As an artist said in an interwiev I listened recently, "someone has to do something for you" - if a certain potential is mentioned,  yeah, otherwise it's difficult. And that's what D. did. So where would I have been without this lovely soul!? ...
But actually I know, it could also only happen, because during that shut down in the pandemic time I came to the decision, I will start mixing music again and will show me and my way of doing it, without thinking if others will like it or not. And that was the dewpoint for me. The invitation from SPACE VIEWX gave me the self-confidence what I needed to go ahead. So here we are! We are not here to rule and dominate, we are here to cooperate, if we want to make it in future - in any ways. And I am thankful for all those connections in the dubtechno scene what followed, with so many great human beeings! Much love to you all!

Anyway I won't complain, all my experiences I made in my life floads in all of my work and  projects in all areas and are connected to each other. And this makes me feel more connected to myself now in a very authentic way. So I took this path as it came and will continue to follow my river as it will come and in the way it feels good and meaningfull to me. 
What I learned from it: you are much more than you are concsious about..and: it's not the question, if you are good enough to do it, it's the question to do it anyway and no matter what. Thank you.

i´m proud to present the first guestmix on my channel!

enjoy the sounds of sai!

Kerstin Saidykhan aka Sai is a music nerd since her teens, influenced by many such as postpunk, dark wave through ska, jungle, dnb and techno. 
Dancehall and the Jamaican Sound System Culture had also a big influence on her (after visiting Jamaica twice at the end of the 90s) especially the ruff and heavy basslines of dub and raggamuffin had a big  imprint on her.
After the Wall fell, she spend many weekends at Berlin‘s growing club scene.
"It gave me the space to breathe as a young adult, what I needed at that time." - Sai 
Growing up in a small town in Western Germany near Hannover and studying social work in Braunschweig (& wrote her thesis about „Techno Culture in Germany“ in 1996 b.t.w.)
Finally she moved to Berlin in 2001 and came into contact with the rhythm&sound vibe that immediately resonated with her.
It was still the time of small and illegal clubs and improvised venues. In that scene, she had the opportunity to try herself as a DJ for a certain time. But through some personal trials and tribulations it never worked out on a larger scale. 
Dubtechno became a very special role to her caused by it's introvert meditative attitude.
„It allows me to deal with feelings of isolation and not belonging somewhere which runs through my life constantly from childhood on. So music is much more than entertainment to me.“
At the center of it all is the attraction of the dub vibe in general, which she likes to examine in all its facets and potentials. She loves creating deep atmospheric mixes around dub techno, combining the classics from earlier days with the current releases, often seasoned with some broken beats or other experimental electronic stuff. There are many great artists in the Dubtechno genre, which in her opinion are greatly underestimated.
