Laidback Luke is ready to release his long-awaited single "Speak Up", this time teaming up with NYC vocalist Wynter Gordon who gives the track chart topping credentials.

Already well known for a multitude of collaborations with various big names including David Guetta, Diplo and A-Trak, Laidback Luke more recently hooked up with Sander van Doorn on the stellar track Who’s Wearing The Cap, a mash up of trance, progressive and electro. Luke's latest collaboration with Arno Cost and Norman Doray "Trilogy" went successful on charts in no time. 2011 also saw Luke enjoying chart success on UK Top 40 hit, Natural Disaster with Example, as well as his work with Steve Aoki and the master of crunk Lil’ Jon on Turbulence that took over Radio 1 airwaves.

Never one to shy away from an edgier sound, Laidback Luke injects a high dose of energy to Speak Up with a stomping build-up throughout the first half of the track that leads to a softer, suspenseful melody, supported by Wynter Gordon’s vocals. Luke then goes full steam ahead and launches into another intense, aggressive build up to see the track through to the end. The perfect recipe for a chart crossover club anthem!

In addition to working with fellow stalwarts of the electronic music industry, Luke has also remixed stellar pop acts from Black Eyed Peas, David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, MSTRKRFT ft. John Legend, Dizzee Rascal, Avicii and Moby to name a few. Its not just producing music that has keeps Luke busy. With his very own Super You&amp;Me tent at Creamfields and a residency at Cream Ibiza last summer where he hosted the Mixmag Terrace on six dates, we can only wonder when he ever has any time to be “Laidback”..!

The Speak Up package includes remixes from Chris Lake, Mark Knight, Oliver Twizt, Moska and Das Kapital who all put their own unique stamp on the track.

When Jono, Tony and Paavo set up their Anjunabeats label back in 2000, it was mainly an outlet for their own burgeoning productions as (among other aliases) Above & Beyond. There was no masterplan, just a dedication to quality and forward-thinking dance music. 
Today, Above & Beyond’s overspilling DJ diary reads like a departure board at Heathrow airport. Their debut artist album ‘Tri-State’ sold countless copies worldwide and became a genre classic. Above & Beyond’s songs are sung back to them by tens of thousands of clubbers at the biggest festival stages on the planet and their flagship gigs include launching Richard Branson’s new SpaceShip for Virgin Galactic, rocking 1million people on Rio’s Barra Beach, and a recent sell-out at Brixton Academy. 
Now counting over 200 single releases, an award-winning compilation series and with deeper sub label Anjunadeep in tow, Anjunabeats remains the heartbeat of all Above & Beyond’s activity. Renowned as a taste-making torchbearer for quality uplifting dance music, Anjunabeats has grown into a global label family responsible for nurturing talents like Super8 & Tab, Nitrous Oxide and Mat Zo to both critical acclaim and club supremacy. 

For this anniversary release, Above & Beyond look back over the Anjunabeats’ legacy by mixing 10 timeless tracks that remind us just how forward-thinking the label has been over its 10 years. As well as Above & Beyond’s own classic ‘Can’t Sleep’, tracks like Bart Claessen & Dave Schiemann’s ‘Madness’ (I Prefer This Mix), Signalrunners ‘These Shoulders’, Daniel Kandi’s ‘Breathe’ and Smith & Pledger’s ‘Northern Lights’ still sound as visceral, energising and uplifting as they did the first time round.

Of course, Anjunabeats is a label driven by forward motion and it is for that reason that Above & Beyond present a second of disc updated and reinterpreted versions of those 10 classic tracks, with highlights including a melodic house-influenced remix of Mat Zo’s ‘Synapse Dynamics’ by Russian trance prodigy Arty, a dark, throbbing tech transformation of Super8 & Tab’s brooding but euphoric ‘Helsinki Scorchin’ by Bart Claessen, and Super8 & Tab’s respectful, futuristic version of Above & Beyond’s ‘Can’t Sleep’.   

To celebrate this landmark release there will be also be a 10 Years of Anjunabeats party at The Gallery (Ministry Of Sound) on Friday 3rd December featuring an Anjunabeats All Stars line up of Kyau & Albert, Mat Zo, Bart Claessen, Oliver Smith and Nitrous Oxide in the Box, and Anjunadeep favourites 16 Bit Lolitas, Jody Wisternoff and James Grant in the 103.

Belgian Producer, Sunfreakz (AKA Tim Janssens) is a classically trained musician with a focus on classical techniques, theory, harmony, composition and history.  This focus led to his first success, “Inner Life” (Decoy & Roy), where he created a sound that took him from his classical roots to modern-day trance.  Followed by House hit record, “Riding The Wave”, and a number of remixes for artists like Flo Rida, Ne-Yo, Nelly Furtado, Sophia May and William Orbit.  Other hit records include “Counting Down The Days” (featuring Andrea Britton) and “Drive Out”.  Collaborations with American songwriter/recording artist, Jeremy Carr has led to their 2011 release, “The Way We Are”. In 2017 came two new releases "Truth Be Told" and "Shockwave".
