Maze's debut on Turnland contains two club-ready, proggy house tracks, while "Science Lesson" comes in two different versions. Both tracks take you back to the time when tech-house sounded more like Detroit than Tulum and trance more like house music than a polished sports car. While "Science Lesson" transports a deep and melancholic vibe with subliminal melodies, "the missing" manoeuvres the listener between spherical sounds and uplifting energy, while the vocal samples seem to fit perfectly into the arrangement.

Lost Connection Remixes: Long Island Sound’s debut album gets fresh treatment from some of the most exciting producers in electronic music. Cromby, Mor Elian, James Shinra and Benjamin Damage feature on Long Island Sound’s Signs of Space imprint.

The tracks on Lost Connection Remixes are stunning reinterpretations of three tracks from Lost Connection, the debut LP from Irish duo Long Island Sound. In 2022 the Dublin-based pair released their first full-length, Lost Connection, which received a stellar review from Resident Advisor, describing it as ‘Glorious, heart-tugging sunset techno’.

For Lost Connection Remixes, the duo have called upon a heavy roster to reimagine their cross-pollination of house, techno and trance-influenced sounds. The EP epitomizes the label’s diverse and expansive sound, reimagining the Dublin duo’s 2022 album in a whole new light.

Fellow Irishman Cromby opens the EP with his rolling and uplifting remix of Power. The track utilizes intricate percussion work and a chunky bassline on top of the original’s celestial pads and vocals, driving the track in a fresh direction.

Power also sees a remix from James Shinra. In his signature and inimitable style, Shinra reinterprets the track as a vast and multi-layered soundscape, creating an immersive and otherworldly atmosphere. He combines intermittent breakbeats, lush pads and complex riffs to create a euphoric, electro-leaning remix.

Mor Elian ups the pace and intensity of the EP with her remix of Dusk. Combining enormous low-end rumbles and syncopated percussion patterns with blissful pads and celestial choirs, Mor’s remix perfectly toes the line between tough and tender.

Benjamin Damage closes the EP with two propulsive techno interpretations of the 2022 album opener, Ataria. Gated vocals, rhythmic pads and flanging high-end percussion are used to build tension, culminating in moments of high-energy dance floor rapture. Damage’s Dub remix ditches the pads and vocals, placing the percussive elements center-stage, providing a stripped-back techno tool.

Lost Connection Remixes is due for full release on April 27th.

Dublin-born and bred Long Island Sound are known for their euphoric-yet-introspective take on electronic music, toeing the line between big emotion and big-room energy. Their music has been featured on Mixmag, DJ Mag and Resident Advisor, as well as Bicep’s mix series and Spotify playlist. Following the success of their debut LP and a sold-out launch party in Dublin’s Tengu, in 2022 the pair embarked on their Summer Irish festival tour, culminating in a standout set at All Together Now.

Press Release: Neotex is the collaborative project of DTE and EZIO two DJ's based in Sydney/Eora, Australia. Last year they hit the ground running with their first release, Perspective Shift, which attracted international support, including Vincent Neumann at techno mecca Berghain, Rotterdam’s Mattheis and the legendary XDB.
Their style draws on down-tempo spiritually charged selections right through to purist techno sounds including bleep, ambient, and more straight-up club focussed material. The 3rd release brings 2 varying techno cuts. The A-side is on a deep tip and the B-side is heavier gear for the later hours.
