Spirit & the Guide is a Progressive House music project led by DJs "Super Mario" and "Roberto Frattini" based in Shanghai. With "Super Mario" hailing from India and "Roberto Frattini" representing Switzerland, their friendship blossomed on the dance-floor as they shared their mutual passion for progressive and electronic sounds. This connection eventually led them to unite their musical influences and visions, giving birth to the dynamic LIVE & Production Project known as Spirit & the Guide.

Parekshit [SUN] is a communication consultant who is based in China. While, his role as a professional feeds his stomach, a visit to the psychedelic world feeds his heart. A citizen of the different parts of the electronica waves, SUN focuses mainly on melody and hypnosis, drawing the listener in with a glimmer of the unknown. 
An electronica survivor from its very first roots in India, SUN wanted to mix his own funky sounds dipped in positive, pulsating basslines. This led him to begin his journey as a DJ in Delhi. SUN’s style is a playful blend of night and day-time sounds with varying yet steady beats. 
Over the years, SUN has played at various indoor and outdoor festivals sharing the stage with some of the biggest names including Ajja, Astrix, Mad Max, Protonica, Atmos, Perfect Stranger, Hilight Tribe, Major 7, XNoize, Azax Syndrom, Hypnoise, Southwild and many others. 
 
SUN is a label DJ with BMSS records. Parekshit has also ventured into another project Super Mario, wherein he dishes out minimal/ambient sounds.
