Puru - Koyuki Remixes EP Part 1 [PD017]

For this 17th release we present to you Puru  who hails 
all the way from the Japanese city of Osaka. Koyuki was introduced to us 
on our chart topping and widely acclaimed compilation album 'Elemental
Progressions Vol.1'. 

'Koyuki' means light snow in Japanese, when we asked why
did he used that title for his track, he said that it partly meant
light snow, but he was actually referring to Himekawa Koyuki aka 
Snow White, the main character in Endo Asari's light novel Magical 
Girl in the story. It was his inspiration in making this mystical
masterpiece.

For the first part of this remixes ep, we used artists from 
Pineapple Digital's pool of talented producers,  Tokyo natives, 
06R, and Ryo Nakamura, and Poland's very own Adam Sobiech to do 
remix duties.

Koyuki is nothing short of brilliance, its prevailing
piano and sensational use of chords make this piece 
project pure punching power. There is such prominence and 
focus from intro to end, play, stop, repeat and repeat 
again !

(06R Remix)

Once again we are awakened with the remixing talents of
Ogura Hisataka aka 06R. Ogura delivers a devastatingly fine downtempo, 
chillstep rework. Introducing epic chord work and a striking arp 
this flows so naturally to the ear and straight to the 
brain to leave an impacted imprint.

(Adam Sobiech Remix)

Once again we have Mr. Adam Sobiech on duty for PD, Adam
brings the pace down to a hypnotic state of ecstasy here, 
though don't be fooled into a sense of lull! Theres a few 
impacted punches thrown in to wake the senses and with 
a whispered vocal and hard hitting synth, this is a 
ravishing take on Koyuki. 

(Ryo Nakamura Remix)

Let us welcome newcomer Ryo Nakamura from Saitama, Tokyo, Japan.
Ryo has graced the ears of listeners through Nueva Digital, 
Seraphina and Makira, now he opens his talents to you!
Plucked to perfection with a grand scale on the piano work
this remix is striking yet very daring, impressive retro 
style with a hint of that nice deep tech house element.

Koyuki (Adam Sobiech Remix) Preview [Pineapple Digital]

Here at Perplexity Music, we our extremely proud to introduce our first release on the label after months of waiting. As our aim is to become the pinnacle of melodic progressive house music, what better way than to start it of with a tremendous 4 track EP from the sensational Alex H. The Perth based producer has been climbing up the progressive ladder since 2012 & his remarkable talent can be heard instantly so take a moment to revel in the delight that is music for the soul. 

The first release of the EP, "No Turning Back" is a delectable vocal masterpiece that locks into the core of our emotions & expands in our minds. Comprised  up of tantalizing chords that emit solid & crisp sounds, steady kicks & brilliant melodies, the overall atmosphere is one that is vibrant & striking. The soothing warm vocals provided by Mona Moua blend perfectly with the flow of the production & the deliverance of the thought provoking lyrics are conveyed so beautifully.

Next up in this quality package is another out of this world collaboration & again, with another master of melodies that is Netherland sensation Roald Velden. Also having worked together previously, more prominently on Roald's album, the blend of these talents has earned a great following due to the pure emotion & the top notch effort & time they put into their productions. Prepare to delve into a journey of warm, blissful & magical textures that swoop right in the moment you press play. That's right, it really is that astounding.  With the colorful combination of the melodic elements, the superb heart felt sounds flow freely in a mix up relaxed percussion work & sweet piano lines once again. 

Last but not least is a huge collaboration with the gifted French talent James Woods so you know you’re in for a dynamic experience with "Atitlan". Having worked on the smashing release "Guadalupe" earlier this year, the outcome of what these two producers create is an explosion of luscious sound & this time is no different. Keeping with the gorgeous melody arrangements, the signature sounds of both can be heard so remarkably such as the luring piano lines pressed side by side powerful chord progressions. Add in the subtle female harmonized vocals that tie the production together & you have this easy on the ears, laid back production. 

As well as the 3 magnificent productions,  "No Turning Back" also has a dub version which is the last release on the EP & this is for those that want to create their own moving story in the minds & with the melodic elements like more evident, that'll be easy to get lost into. 
This is just an small insight as to what to expect from us so we hope you'll stick around and support us through the exciting times ahead. Resident talent Dezza released "Meekix" on our parent label back in September 2014. Nearly a year later, we are thrilled to present two inspired new interpretations of the Canadian phenom's uplifting classic, courtesy of two internationally acclaimed talents in their own right: LTN & Robert Nickson.

LTN, an exceedingly versatile musician, kicks off the release with one of his deepest (and most elegant) compositions to date. A gentle, deep groove and moody soundscape create an ominous aura in the early going. Gorgeous atmospheric textures and vivid melodic themes begin to emerge: a stunning synthesis of electronic and orchestral sounds. In the breakdown, goosebumps are induced by a mesmerizing, climactic score, featuring a haunting piano motif, ethereal vocals, and a crescendoing rhythm that ultimately resolves into a profoundly cathartic drop. This is easily one of our favorites of 2015.

A pioneer of trance, who continues to write visionary music under his RNX guise, Robert Nickson presents an uplifting progressive take on the original. Drawing inspiration once again from the cosmos, by the quarter turn, a celestially inspired array of pads and arpeggios imbue the listener with hope and joy. The song continues to soar higher, like an invincible astronaut, with the addition of lush lead chords. In the breakdown, the success of the mission is signaled by a rapturous high-octave version of the main "Meekix" theme, written with the pen of one of trance & progressive's most lucid poets.

The first track we proudly present to you is 'As The Years Went By' & what better way to delve into the context of this serene title by being taken on a smooth flowing journey packed with melodies so powerful that it's almost tangible in our hands. The stunning structure of the jaunty & vibrant range of chords used highlights the feeling of time passing by slowly, allowing us to savor each minute that slips through our grasps.The progression of the steady & light kicks melds in perfectly with the tender piano backdrop that floats with the more powerful chords. If there ever was something to describe a sentimental moment of thinking of the precious memories we lose to time, then this is stroke of the writer's quill that dictates it. 

The second track titled 'Sunset Over Emst' is another that follows on the trend of being subjected to heart wrenching melodic components from beginning to end. It starts off as gentle as a butterfly's wings beating in the fresh spring air, like the exquisite range of chords hover around us, sinking in with every breath we take. The deeper & more intricate piano lines haunt us with how delicate they are, simply adding flavor to the already delectable sound arrangements. As the summer is winding down & people get on with their lives, you'll feel like you are sat in a lush green field, watching the sun dip behind the skyline of the striking town of Emst, or wherever you may be & it'll be alright as long as you have these magical sounds in your ears. 

Once again, productions like these from dedicated producers like Roald Velden reiterate why this music moves us so much to a point where goosebumps become permanent due to the beauty that is spread through our heart & soul.
