Dear friends,

I want to let you know that from today Jettan project ceases to exist.
Most likely, in a while, there are gonna be two remix packs for my two solo EPs, but there won't be any original music and remixes from me anymore.
Honestly, this was not a difficult decision for me, as I feel that I have lost my inspiration for a long time for writing melodic progressive music, and to get lost and not telling you about it would be extremely disrespectful act. In any case, I'm very glad that I was lucky to become part of the progressive melodic community and share 
with you emotions through my music. It was a rather short trip but very interesting and fascinating. 
Of course I would like to say a big thank you to the entire Emergent Music team for warmly accepting me as a team member and that you gave me the opportunity to release my music on your label, it is safe to say that this label has become a home for me and my music. 
I'm especially grateful to Max Dillon for accepting my every track and always flattering about my music and supporting me in every way. I would also like to thank the PHW team for giving me the opportunity to release on your label one of my favorite tracks - "Images". I want to express special thanks to everyone who listened and still listens to my work, to everyone who played and plays my music in their mixes and radio shows. A legend of Bristol’s dance music scene, Jody Wisternoff releases his brand new twelve-track LP ‘Nightwhisper’ today. His first solo album in eight years, ‘Nightwhisper’ follows Wisternoff’s 2012 debut LP ‘Trails We Blaze’ and esteemed catalogue as Way Out West. 

A formative figure in the UK rave scene, Wisternoff first made his name in the early ’90s before cementing his position as one of the UK’s finest talent-spotters and DJs as part of the Anjunadeep label family, where he co-curates the chart-topping annual compilation series. 

Written primarily in 2019, ‘Nightwhisper’ is a deeply personal album born out of a time of introspection for the Bristol producer following the death of his father:

“It was a time of conflicting emotions for me… I suddenly found myself appreciating the simpler things in life in a way that I had never done before, but on an equal note also questioning mortality on a level that is only possible after the passing of a family member.” 

Amidst the hefty demands of fatherhood and touring, Jody came to embrace his newfound awareness of impermanence and loss in his songwriting. The intimacy of the album is quickly conveyed in the opening track ‘Morning U’, which features spoken home recordings of Jody’s father above a touching melody. Exploring the full spectrum of emotion, the lively progressions and lyrics of ‘Lately’ and ‘Reverie’ provide an optimistic contrast to more melancholic numbers ‘For Those We Knew’ and ‘Nightwhisper’. 


Sonically, the album is heavily influenced by Wisternoff’s eclectic tenure in the UK music scene. Launching his career in 1986 at the age of 13 as a finalist at the DMC World DJ Championship, Wisternoff honed his craft at the forefront of UK rave culture, playing warehouses for seminal promoters Fantazia and Universe, and hosting a residency at the iconic Lakota club in Bristol. After a chance encounter in a record store, Wisternoff joined forces with Nick Warren to form Way Out West. The luminary duo rose to fame in the 1990s with several UK-charting singles and a UK dance number one in ‘Mindcircus’, quickly followed by a 1997 album ‘Way Out West’, which saw critical and commercial success. 


A statement LP with a pertinent message during this grounded time, ‘Nightwhisper’ is a culmination of Wisternoff’s decorated career and progression as an artist, husband, and father: 

“‘Nightwhisper’ is an attempt at finding balance and inner peace during the ever-changing life journey… In some ways, it’s a personal lullaby, a call back to simpler times which of course is impossible, but comforting none the less.”

Back in 2018, Dutch talent Allay presented his visionary debut artist album "Journey Of The Velvet Adorned Nomad" on our imprint. He now makes an especially soulful return with "Morning Daze," a jazz-infused downtempo cut, featuring lyrics and (mellifluous) vocals from Hong Kong-based duo Narrow Skies, with whom Allay has occasionally collaborated through the years. On remix detail, one of the most promising new recruits to our roster, Meeting Molly, delivers a lush deep-progressive take on this lovely single.

We are delighted to debut Swedish sensation Claes Rosén on our imprint with his full-bodied, uptempo rendition of “River Lee.” Rosén is renowned for his deep, progressive house style with the 90’s touch and retro soundscapes. Now let’s revisit the 90’s in which Rosén kicks off with an exhilarating house groove that is quickly accompanied by funky synth stabs, punchy snares, and evocative hooks. Our journey through PHW continues as we this time present release number 400 on our label and we are of course delighted about hitting as far as we have done. This is a release we have been holding for a while as our thought was that this would be a fantastic release that sum up a lot of our ideas on the label over the years. With two established names collaborating as John Grand & Mark Digital we of course feel great to see these big guns back on the label with “Force Field”. 

With this track, as said, they present a lot of the ideas that we always had in mind with the label, having creative minds, friendly in person and presenting a knockout release through powerful melodic arrangements, driving basslines and all that creativity that so many times rocks our boat. 

We couldn’t be happier than what we are to present these guys and this production to sum things up, we absolutely love it and don’t think “Force Field” is something that should be missed. Awesome work guys as always!

Omar Romero returns to our Progressive House Worldwide label through his beloved Emro moniker. He’s surely a producer that is on the rise, gaining more and more recognition on the scene through his high quality progressive music. We always held him high and been fans of his melodic and powerful melodic progressive music. He’s been with us in the past through remix duty, but this time around he delivers his first EP including 2 different originals, oming as an original and as an extended to be more DJ friendly.

The opener and also the title track, baptized as “Down This Road” is a wonderful melody driven progressive contribution to the scene. It includes all the right elements, juicy melodic work and those moving textures to build a fantastic track to send you off.  

The second track for this EP, named as “Takes Me Back” is another high quality progressive production packed with great chord progression, atmospheric layers that surely is to warm a lot of hearts, loving the genre we always try to push. 

It’s quality all the way and it’s an honour to see Emro contribute with us and make his steps on the scene, he is by far not finished, that we know!
