Dynamic Dutch duo Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano have built a reputation as prestige artists both behind the decks and in the studio. Having released tracks on some of the industry’s most prolific labels, as well as their own reputed Armada-based SONO Music imprint, the pairing have cemented their position atop the industry’s highest ranks. Having built a reputation for their unmatched energy on stage and their tribal house influenced signature sound, the duo are one of the most in-demand outfits in the electronic music industry, and regularly perform at the world’s most iconic clubs and festivals.

Omowale is a songwriter and world musician born and raised in Los Angeles, California. 
A product of the local Black Arts Movement of the 1960s, Omowale is heavily influenced by Motown soul and avant-garde/free jazz of the LA scene which was centered on South Central Avenue and the community of Watts. His many influences were Billy Higgins, Don Cherry, Horace Tapscott, John Coltrane, Miles Davis and many more. 

In the late 70s and early 80s, he briefly performed and networked with local friends who were up and coming in the post-punk, indie music scene, and used to DJ for house parties, college and community events. He started songwriting in 1988.

Omowale has spent most of the past 40 years teaching and mentoring youth, while building an online presence on multiple social media platforms. He is currently retired from teaching full-time, and devoted to developing his creative talent as a songwriter/musician. 

Omowale’s music explores the effects of colonialism and systems of oppression on the human condition and global communities in the African diaspora and Global South. He has described his style as Afrofusionist with a taste of Asiatic Spice. That is to say, Urbane Flava, rooted in exploring themes self-liberation, spiritual healing and the Power of Love.
